Allegations Britain is stripping Canada’s old-growth forests

With its move to green energy, primarily wind and solar, one of Britain’s power plants has also converted a coal power plant to wood in order to go green and produce power. The BBC alleges that one of the sources of its wood is environmentally important ‘old-growth’ forests in British Columbia, Canada. The BBC explains: One of the Drax forests is a square mile, including large areas that have been identified as rare, old-growth forest. The provincial government of British Columbia says old-growth forests are particularly important and that companies should put off logging them. Drax’s own responsible sourcing policy says it “will avoid damage or disturbance” to primary and old-growth forest. However, the latest satellite pictures show Drax is now cutting down the forest. Oh, the California irony

It’s California, so it is to be expected. But just days after California announced that it will be banning the sale of new gas-powered personal vehicles effective 2035, Californians were asked to limit the charging of electric vehicles, because of a looming electricity shortage on the Labor Day weekend. The Blaze provides more details: California energy managers are warning that an expected heat wave over Labor Day weekend could cause blackouts and are urging state residents to conserve energy — which is bad news for electric vehicle owners. The California Independent System Operator — a non-profit that manages the power grid for 80% of California and a small part of Nevada — issued a bulletin Tuesday announcing that “extreme heat” conditions are “likely to strain the grid with increased energy demands, especially over the holiday weekend.”[…] “Set thermostats to 78 degrees or higher, avoid using large appliances and charging electric vehicles, and turn off unnecessary lights,” the ISO advised. What’s really happening with hurricanes?

The climate change fanatics blame everything on man-made global warming these days, but they are running into problems. The propagandists have used hurricanes as their whipping boy on man-made climate change, but the facts are telling a different story. In his article, “What the media won’t tell you about hurricanes”, Roger Pielke Jr explains: 1. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, in its latest report, concluded that there remains “no consensus” on the relative role of human influences on Atlantic hurricane activity. Here is what the IPCC says exactly: “[T]here is still no consensus on the relative magnitude of human and natural influences on past changes in Atlantic hurricane activity, and particularly on which factor has dominated the observed increase (Ting et al., 2015) and it remains uncertain whether past changes in Atlantic TC activity are outside the range of natural variability.” READ: What the media won’t tell you about hurricanes Once something turns political, the truth becomes expendable.

Study: Parts of the Antarctic ice cap are growing, not shrinking

Researchers from Cambridge University, Newcastle University, and New Zealand’s University of Canterbury are certain to send off alarm bells in the man-made global warming industrial complex (MMGWIC). One of the big fears being promoted by the MMGWIC is that if we don’t stop man-made global warming is that all the coastal cities will simply be washed away by the rising oceans. So it was particularly disturbing when this group of scientists stated that between 2003/4 to 2019, the ice pack on the western side of the Antarctic has actually been increasing. Growing. The Western Antarctic has about 1,400 km of shoreline. And this isn’t even the first time this has been reported. Back in 2015, NASA reported the exact same thing was happening. Though the ice pack on the eastern side of the Antarctic was shrinking, the ice pack on the western side was growing. In fact, the west’s growth was faster than the eastern, so overall the Antarctic ice pack was growing, not shrinking. READ: NASA Study: Mass gains of Antarctic Ice Sheet greater …

‘NY Times’ warns that skiing is an endangered event, despite snowfall increasing

When it comes to Global Warming, we are absolutely involved in a propaganda war, where truth is being set aside in favour of alarmism. According to Wattsupwiththat, the latest example is The New York Times, which on Jan 7, 2022, had an article warning skiers that they must become involved in Climate activism because the snow is basically disappearing.

Canada: A $4,000 SUV tax in the works?

Over the years, I have written several articles about the man-made global-warming fanatics, and like I did in my most recent article, I sarcastically stated that the discovery of fossils of alligators and subtropical trees in Canada’s frozen and barren Arctic is evidence that people were driving SUVs several millennia before they were actually invented in 1935.

US natural gas company warns of blackouts this winter if pipeline shut down

Spire Energy, a natural gas supplier based in Missouri, just sent out an email to all its customers warning that they should brace for blackouts this winter if US President Joe Biden shuts down another American pipeline. Spire Energy provides natural gas to 1.7 million people in Mississippi, Missouri and Alabaman. According to the Western Journal, the STL pipeline that runs between Illinois and Missouri went into service in 2019 and supplies gas not only to 650,000 homes in St Louis and area but also in neighbouring states. Shortly after it went into operation, the Environmental Defense Fund sued the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) stating it had not provided the proper permits for the pipeline. This prompted an emergency review of the STL pipeline scheduled for Nov 18, 2021. If this pipeline is shut down, it will result in natural gas shortages this winter. Are global warming policies to blame for the empty store shelves?

As people around the world experience shortages and empty store shelves, it is easy to blame the lockdowns. Though this policy failed to stop COVID, it was particularly effective in damaging the economy. But we can’t give all the credit to the lockdowns, apparently global warming extremists have to receive at least an honourable mention.

Reports of ‘Doomsday Glacier’s’ collapse ‘greatly exaggerated’?

When American author Mark Twain read a report in the New York Journal that he had died, Twain quickly sent off a letter-to-the-editor stating that the reports of his demise were exaggerated. Well, the same could be said of the Thwaites ice shelf, located in the Western Antarctica. It has been the poster child and major fundraiser for the man-made Global Warming corporate machine for the past few years. The ice shelf, that is reportedly the size of Florida, is supposedly on the verge of breaking off because of Global warming. It’s been given the delightful name of the ‘Doomsday Glacier’ to remind the masses of the horrors of man-made Global warming that includes ocean levels rising and the washing away of coastal cities. However, according to a study by the University of Michigan, the doomsday collapse of Thwaites may be slightly exaggerated. The study doesn’t expect a collapse any time soon. But does expect there may be some thinning of the ice. But according to NASA, there is an unusual thing happening in the …

VIDEO: Interview with co-founder of Extinction Rebellion exposes Marxist agenda

Andrew Neil of GB News, recently interviewed Roger Hallam, co-founder of Extinction Rebellion, an environmental extremist organization. The interview revealed that this radical organization is just a cover for imposing Marxist ideology on people, as it calls for an end of cars, trains, planes, industry and seizing people’s wealth in just four years.

In honour of global warming brace for a cold winter

Though those promoting man-made global warming love to point to CO2 as the reason for our warming. There are dozens of natural factors that have huge impacts on weather. Two of them are La Nina (little girl) and El Nino (little boy) that dramatically impact weather in North and South America. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, a La Nina is setting up over the Pacific Ocean and it creates conditions that lead to more wildfires in the west as we are seeing in California, and stronger hurricanes in the Atlantic. Fox News explain: A La Nina climate pattern has appeared in the Pacific Ocean, which could lead to an increase in activity during the ongoing Atlantic hurricane season and create conditions more prone to wildfires out West, forecasters say. La Nina, Spanish for “little girl,” is a naturally occurring phenomenon in which sea surface temperatures across the central and eastern Pacific Ocean are cooler than average, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. It’s the opposite of the warmer-than-average “El Nino” — and scientists believe this time the pattern will last through at least February. ‘Why I left Greenpeace’: Patrick Moore’s story

In 1971, Dr. Patrick Moore helped found an environmental movement in Vancouver, Canada that would eventually become an international organization called Greenpeace. At the time, Moore was the only man on Greenpeace’s board that had a PhD in ecology and would eventually become its president. He finally left the organization after it turned into a highly political organization and began to look upon people as the enemy of the earth and began to oppose things that would benefit humanity. This included banning chlorine and “Golden rice” that has the potential to save the lives of millions of impoverished children. Since he left Greenpeace, Patrick Moore has become known as the “sensible environmentalist.” The following are some excerpts from videos listed below: On Greenpeace: “The [Greenpeace] mission once noble had become corrupted. Political agendas and fear mongering trumped science and truth.” “Humans, to use Greenpeace language, had become the enemies of the earth.” “Science and logic no longer held sway. Sensationalism, misinformation and fear were what we used to perform our campaigns.” “[Greenpeace was] high-jacked by …

Is it time to rein in the man-made global warming hysteria?

The recent arrival of Greta Thunberg, an environmental activist based out of Sweden, has certainly caught everyone’s attention. The 16-year-old’s fearful, emotional and angry presentation to the UN was viewed by millions as she warned of an imminent environmental apocalypse if governments didn’t immediately reduce CO2 emissions. And she is not alone, many young people are feeling a similar anxiety. According to an article entitled “Climate change poses mental health risks to children and teens” published on Science News for Students, the fear mongering over climate change is causing mental health issues for students. Unfortunately, the discussion of global warming has become so politicized, it is almost impossible to separate the rhetoric from the truth. But in the midst of all this, you may have missed a few major news stories that were not the flavor of the day, so basically ignored by most of the main line media. They were calling into question all the hysteria surrounding the issue of climate change. Nobody denies that global warming is taking place. What is questioned is …

Whoops this wasn’t supposed to happen, massive Greenland glacier is now regrowing

There was stunning news about a glacier on Greenland. It has been happening for the past couple years, but kept quiet until the news was released in an article in Nature Geoscience. NASA is reporting that the massive Jakobshavn Glacier is growing. Some consider it the king of glaciers because it was once one of the fastest shrinking glaciers in the Northern Hemisphere and scientists are admittedly shocked by the recent development. Because of this melting, the glacier became the poster child of man-made global warming enthusiasts who warned that unless we stopped CO2 emissions the rising oceans would wash away New York City and other coastal  cities. Now it is true that since 2012, the massive glacier shrunk about 1.8 miles per year and those in the man-made global warming camp immediately attributed it to the rising CO2 emissions. But that melting suddenly stopped in 2016 when the glacier started re-growing at the same rate it was shrinking. Yes, it is now growing at a rate of 1.8 miles a year. But here is …

Man-made error in man-made global warming study, oceans are not 60% warmer

On October 31, 2018, a report released in the prestigious peer-reviewed science journal Nature, broadcast that man-made global warming was much more serious than generally believed, because between 1991 and 2016, the oceans absorbed 60% more heat than previously thought. They concluded from this that the earth must also be warming faster. The report produced by the Scripps Institution of Oceanography was front page news in major dailies and online news around the world. In an interview with the Washington Post, Princeton professor Laure Resplandy, who led the study, stated: “We thought that we got away with not a lot of warming in both the ocean and the atmosphere for the amount of CO2 that we emitted. But we were wrong. The planet warmed more than we thought. It was hidden from us just because we didn’t sample it right. But it was there. It was in the ocean already.” It was giddy times for those promoting the man-made global warming mantra calling for carbon taxes and cuts in CO2 emissions. But the celebration only …

The boy who cried ‘polar bear’

“The boy who cried wolf” is one of Aesop’s fables about a shepherd boy who repeatedly tricked the people in the village about a false claim that wolves were attacking his flock. When wolves did attack, the people didn’t believe him and the flock was destroyed. Today the phrase “to cry wolf” speaks of “raising false alarms.” And we seem to have the same thing happening today. People promoting man-made global warming are using all sorts of elaborate claims to get our attention. One of them suggests the polar bear population is dying off because bears are unable to hunt on the ice. However, a report recently produced by the Nunavut government, a territory in Northern Canada, is stating the exact opposite. The people in the arctic are claiming the bear population is booming and actually becoming a hazard to people. The draft report stated: “Public safety concerns, combined with the effects of polar bears on other species, suggested that in many Nunavut communities, the polar bear may have exceeded the co-existent threshold.” As a …

Global warming taking a vacation this summer in parts of the Arctic

Though we are still getting the usual rhetoric about how man-made climate change is destroying the earth unless we act immediately, we are not hearing about the unusual climatic conditions affecting parts of the Arctic this year. There is a reason for that. This summer has been a been a particularly cold one in Greenland and it doesn’t fit the man-made global warming narrative that the ice is melting and will result in rising ocean levels unless we immediately do something to reduce CO2 emissions. But not only is the cold weather disrupting the narrative of the climate-change activists and politicians, the cold weather is also having a profound impact on shore birds that nest along Greenland’s coastline each summer. According to Scientific American, typically by June the snow has receded in Greenland allowing shore birds to nest and raise their young in July. However, this year has been cold and the ice and snow has continued into the summer preventing shore birds from finding food and nesting spots. In an interview with Scientific American, …

Is the climate-change fear-mongering starting to waver?

In recent weeks, two major publications have dared to question one of the main tenants of man-made global warming — fear-mongering — predicting one catastrophe after another if we don’t reign in carbon emissions. Of course, we refer it to today as climate change, but it started out as global warming. Many still wonder why the activists wanted this name change? With the man-made climate change agenda largely driven by those on the left of the political spectrum, they have dramatically tried to shout down any dissenters. But recently, scientists and others are showing a bravery to face the barrage of criticism that comes their way when they don’t fall in line with the basic beliefs of the climate-change agenda. First it was an article in Scientific American that advised everyone to chill out because things are not nearly as bad as every one is screaming. The most recent challenge involved two climatologists, Nic Lewis and Judith Curry, who wrote a peer-reviewed study stating the climate models the activists are using to proclaim the coming …

Arctic ice cap roaring back

According to an article in the Daily Caller, the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) is reporting Greenland’s ice sheet is returning with a vengeance. The agency added that since January 1, 2017, Greenland’s ice sheet gained 8 gigatons of snow and ice. It noted the ice has been increasing since October. This increase is far above the normal rates seen this time of year, and DMI stated it is one of the highest growth rates in recent years. DMI has been monitoring the size of Greenland’s ice sheets for 24 years. Over the summer, those promoting man-made Global warming  trumpeted the arctic’s shrinking ice cap as evidence of man-made global warming. Of course, it always melts during the summer, but the melt this past year was aided by a strong El Nino effect that warmed the 2015-2016 winter. Once every three to five years, an El Nino occurs that results in warm waters — that should be pooling around Indonesia and the Philippines — moving eastward and settling along the coast of South America. Depending on …

The Spirit of Baal in the end times

A strange thing happened in 2016, a company manufactured full-scale 3-d replicas of the gates of a Temple of Baal that once stood in Palmyra, Syria. ISIS destroyed the 2,000 year old temple in 2015. They installed arches this past spring in Trafalgar Square in London, England and later on September 19, 2016 at Times Square in New York City. The 48′ foot arch from the Baal temple has certainly proved controversial. Some wonder if it provided an opening or portal for the spirit of Baal in these two countries, much in the same way the building of temples for Baal and Asherah would have done in ancient Israel when Queen Jezebel set them up. In his article proposing this on Charisma News, author Michael Snyder suggests the setting up of the arch may have contributed to the rise in violence in America that we are recently seeing. Or maybe it is all just one big coincidence. Or, perhaps it is just a sign of the times — an indication of what is already happening …

So what caused the 1910 Paris flood — SUVs?

The recent flooding in Paris that saw the Seine River break its banks has brought out dozens of environmental apologists claiming it was caused by man-made global warming. Of course, they are insinuating that if we don’t cut back carbon emissions more of the same awaits us. One man-made global warming article shrilly shouted in its headline: Climate Change Made the Flooding in France More Deadly. Unfortunately, there is a bit of problem with the messaging. This is not the first time Paris has flooded and this wasn’t even the worst flood. French Artist Julien Knez caused a bit of a stir when he used a bunch of old photos of the Great Paris Flood of 1910 and then took pictures of the same spots during this year’s flood allowing us to compare the impact of the two deluges. As the photos show, the 1910 flood was actually higher as the Seine River peaked at 8.62 meters above normal compared to only 6.1 meters above normal when it reached its maximum level on June 3 …

Does the defeat of Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper pave the way for a one-world government?

I know it’s a bizarre headline, but I am not the one suggesting it. The statement was made by England’s Lord Christopher Monckton. He believes the recent electoral defeat of Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper could pave the way for a one-world government. Now before you jump to the conclusion that Monckton is some type of flake, I would like to tell you a bit more about this English Lord. Monckton is the Third Viscount of Benchley. He currently serves as a policy adviser to the Science and Public Policy Institute. Over the years, he has served as an adviser to English Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and in 1986 advised Thatcher to investigate the influence of CO2 on earth temperatures. This led Thatcher to set up the Hadley Centre for Forecasting. Monckton has since changed his mind about man’s influence on Global Warming and spends his time exposing the error that man is influencing global temperatures. He is an expert on Global Warming and has been called four times to testify on the issue before …
