‘NY Times’ warns that skiing is an endangered event, despite snowfall increasing

When it comes to Global Warming, we are absolutely involved in a propaganda war, where truth is being set aside in favour of alarmism.

According to Wattsupwiththat, the latest example is The New York Times, which on Jan 7, 2022, had an article warning skiers that they must become involved in Climate activism because the snow is basically disappearing.

It wrote:

Skiing is an endangered sport, caught between a warming planet and a global pandemic. In recent years, with snow cover diminishing and untouched powder increasingly difficult to reach, skiers like Ms. Backstrom have been pushed onto groomed trails more often.”

However, the facts tell a different story!

In his article, James Taylor, the President of the Heartland Institute, writes that Rutgers University Global Snow Lab has been tracking snowfall since the 1960s using satellites, and it has a slightly different story. It reports that there has been no decline in snowfall, if anything, there has been a ‘modest increase.’

And Lake Tahoe, one of the most popular ski resorts in America, had a record-setting 18 feet snowfall in December 2021.

Frankly, I am tiring of their failed predictions

I am starting to get annoyed by the failed promises of these Global warming fanatics.

In an interview with a British newspaper, The Independent, in 2000, Dr. David Viner, one of the scientists who worked with the East Anglia’s climate research unit, promised us that snow was going to disappear.

He told The Independent:

Children just aren’t going to know what snow is.” He then went on to say that “snow will becomea very rare and exciting event.’”

Well, I am still waiting.

I was out snow blowing yesterday in -25 Celsius weather. And we have about a foot and a half of snow covering our yard.

It will be a rare and exciting event the day I don’t have to shovel snow.

And in case you weren’t aware. The East Anglia’s climate research unit provided the initial propaganda, err research, for the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
