Medical license of pro-life doctor restored after he refused to perform abortion

The medical license of a Brazilian pro-life doctor, Dr. Leandro Rodriguez Lastra, has been reinstated after he was suspended for not performing a late-term abortion.

Abortionist who cut baby vocal chords has medical license suspended

An abortionist from Alabama who allegedly boasted on Twitter in 2018 that she cut the vocal cords of babies to stop them from screaming has allegedly lost her medical license in an unrelated matter. CBN reports: Some have wondered if she was referring to the baby’s umbilical cord or the vocal cords, as she didn’t specify in her since-deleted tweet which you can view here. CBN writes: Dr. Leah N. Torres, an Alabama-based abortionist known for her brash and often offensive Twitter exploits, has had her medical license suspended. Torres is the doctor who sparked intense backlash in 2018, when she gloated via Twitter about cutting the vocal cords of pre-born babies while performing abortions. In the tweet, which she has since deleted, the abortionist wrote: “You know fetuses can’t scream, right?” “I transect the cord [first] so there’s really no opportunity, if they’re even far enough along to have a larynx,” she continued. “I won’t apologize for performing medicine. I’m also a ‘uterus ripper outer,’ if that’s how you’d like to describe hysterectomy.” READ: Abortionist Who …

The church is facing battles on every side

2020 has been a very unusual year for the church as we face attacks on every side. We have states such as California determined to stop churches from reopening. The state is imposing massive fines if churches do and court cases are being launched over the constitutional right of believers to practise their faith. And recently a different battle has emerged in the state of Washington. With the help of Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), Cedar Park Assembly of God in Kirkland, Washington is taking the state of Washington to court because of a law the state assembly passed in 2018 requiring churches to provide abortion coverage if it also provided maternity benefits to its workers. According to ADF, what is particularly disturbing is that failure to comply could not only result in fines but as well imprisonment. ADF noted that the law as it stands does not provide a religious exemption. As a result of the law’s passing, insurance companies began to insert abortion coverage in the Cedar Park’s plan. In its brief to the …

The Abortion Conspiracy

This is an election year in the United States, and history is being remembered that most of us forgot. Planned Parenthood is an organization that promotes access to abortions, and offers abortions in many clinics. In this year of “Black Lives Matter” the history of the founder Margaret Sanger has been remembered. She advocated for eugenics, guided evolution through population control, and she was quoted “We must make this country into a garden of children instead of a disorderly back lot overrun with human weeds.” Apparently the founder spoke to a women’s group of the Klu Klux Klan, in 1926, and there is suspicion about her advocating for more access to abortions and birth control, in black communities. This history has been revived by Kanye West, a black rapper and a Christian, who said Planned Parenthood has “been placed inside cities by white supremacists to do the Devil’s work.” This is an explosive debate, and we can expect to hear more arguments. The issue is reported: READ: Kanye West’s Planned Parenthood fight revives rift between …

Video: Then he asked if unborn black babies matter?

A man approached medical staff at an unnamed hospital holding a Black Lives Matter protest. First he asked, “Do all black lives matter, or just some black lives?” They responded, “All black lives.” Then he asked, “Black lives killed by black men matter.” They replied with a bit of encouragement, “Yes.” Then he asked “The black lives killed in the abortion clinics matter, right?” No response.

Medical researchers state babies feel pain in the womb before 24 weeks

According to an article in England’s Journal of Medical Ethics written by two medical researchers, one of whom is actually pro-choice, they concluded that babies in the womb may feel pain as early as 13 weeks. The duo, Stuart Derbyshire and John Bockmann, added that there is “good evidence” that baby feels pain as early as 18 weeks. This is alarming because according to the latest statistics, England’s abortion industry performs about 6,000 abortions annually on babies 18 weeks and older. It is generally accepted that babies feel pain after 24 weeks and England forbids abortions after this point. However, this paper pushes the time babies in the womb feel pain earlier than previously accepted. In an article published in England’s Daily Mail, the British Pregnancy Advisory Service quickly rejected this study, even though Derbyshire has provided advice to two pro abortion giants, the American based Planned Parenthood and the UK’s Pro-Choice Forum. This also represents a 180 degree turn for Derbyshire, because in an article written for the British American Journal in 2006, he …

God knows your potential

J.K. Dobbins, 21, is a star running back with the Ohio State Buckeyes and some consider him a potential Heisman Trophy winner which honors the most outstanding football player in college football. Though, Dobbins is not considered a leading candidate for the award, he is certainly in the conversation. During the game, Gus Johnson, who was calling the game on behalf of the Fox Sports network, made a startling announcement about Dobbins. Johnson said that there was a player on the Ohio team, whose mother had nearly aborted her child but changed her mind at the last moment. As the TV cameras focused on Dobbins, Johnson said: “J.K. Dobbins’ mom became pregnant when she was 18 years old, she went to see the doctor because she was thinking about aborting the baby, but changed her mind.” Gus Johnson, Fox Sports Johnson added that Maya later described J.K. as her “miracle baby.” Then as if to add an exclamation mark on Johnson’s statement, Dobbins went on to have the best game of his college career, rushing …

Abortion increases the risk of mental health issues for women

Many years ago, my wife and I were involved with a young lady who had separated from her husband who was involved with another woman. It had been a difficult time. The husband was also abusive and the police had gotten involved. However, as she was separating she didn’t realize she was pregnant and when that came to light, everyone in her life including family, friends and even the police counseled her to get an abortion, which she did. She wasn’t a Christian and now living thousands of miles away from her family, she was still haunted by the abortion and treated the abortion date like an ugly birthday. She was depressed and struggling because of the abortion. This is the one side of abortion that the activists don’t like telling anyone about, namely the emotional trauma associated with abortion that can follow a woman through out her life. According to Liberty Counsel (LC), a recent study in the British Journal of Psychiatryy concluded that there are several mental health issues associated with abortion. The …

Singing sensation Andrea Bocelli nearly aborted

The Grammy Awards are held annually by The Recording Academy to honor singing achievements primarily in the English-speaking world. This year’s awards were held in New York’s Madison Square Gardens on January 28th and some described it as more political than musical. This may explain why its ratings are down 24% over the last year. Aside from the singing awards, one of the highlights of these type of events are the dresses and suits worn by celebrities. This year was no different. But the one that seems to have gained the spot light, was an anti-abortion dress worn by American singer and song writer Joy Villa. On her dress she painted an image of a baby in the womb and her handbag had the word “choose life” written on it. In an interview with Foxnews, Villa said she was honoring her decision to give up a child for adoption when she was 21, during a crisis pregnancy. Villa added that the image was “a painting of my daughter when I was eight months pregnant.” When …

Canadian Government’s Assault on ‘Freedom of Speech’

With the election of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in 2015, Canada has taken a hard left turn against free speech. Last year, the Liberal government announced that it will no longer be handing out grants under its Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program to organizations that do not agree with abortion. Under the program, the government provides funding for about 70,000 students to be hired by religious groups that run day cares, summer camps and drop in centers. The problem started when an organization called the Abortion Rights Coalition of Canada complained that the federal government was funding pro-life groups through such mechanisms as CSJ. The federal government publicly responded by saying that it will not longer fund anti-abortion groups. In order to prevent funding, last year the Canadian government chose to only hand out the CSJ grants to ridings that had Liberal MPs who could make sure the money only went to pro-abortion groups. Apparently, Liberal MPs are not allowed to think abortion is wrong. However, three pro-life groups who did not receive funding last …

Study suggests babies feel pain in the womb in first trimester

A recent study published in the journal Cell has provided evidence that babies feel pain in the womb sooner than many in the pro-abortion camp want us to believe. In recent years, several reports mostly by specialists doing procedures on preemies or the unborn concluded that babies feel pain in the womb. For decades, most did not believe this was possible. This most recent study published at the end of March confirmed what others are saying. But this study differed in one important way from earlier reports. It didn’t analyze a baby’s reaction to pain but rather looked at nerve development and concluded that a baby’s nervous system is fully formed by the end of the first trimester (12 weeks). The study described the development as an “adult-like pattern of skin innervation” and added that the baby developed it earlier than previously thought. Despite their findings, the researchers were quick to add that this did not necessarily suggest a baby feels pain in the womb. The theory that babies did not feel pain in the …

God delivers a message to the Colorado State Capital

Ted Harvey is a Republican representative in the Colorado House of Representatives. He is also pro-life. Though, many in society are trying to quieten Christians in the public square, Jesus told His disciples not to worry when their adversaries were attacking because the Holy Spirit would give them the words and wisdom to impact society: 14 So make up your minds not to prepare beforehand to defend yourselves; 15 for I will give you utterance and wisdom which none of your opponents will be able to resist or refute. (Luke 21:14-15 NASV) I believe this promise was on full display in the Colorado legislature in early May. In an article posted on Faith it, Ted shares a remarkable story of God providing him a message for the Colorado State Capital. Just before the May 7th weekend, the House Majority Leader, a Democrat, announced the following Monday, she would sponsor a resolution honoring the 90th anniversary of Denver’s abortion giant, Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains. Horrified by this, Harvey left for the weekend. That weekend Ted remembered …

Utah may pass legislation requiring anesthesia for aborted babies

The Republican governor of Utah says he would sign off on legislation requiring doctors to provide anesthesia to babies during abortions. Though Gov. Gary Herbert does not personally agree with abortion, if it is legal he believes it should be conducted in the most humane way possible. A bill requiring anesthesia in that state is being drafted by Sen. Curt Bramble. He is proposing legislation that would require anesthesia at the age a baby would experience pain. It is not certain at this point at what age this would apply. Herbert did note that a baby’s heart starts beating at five weeks. Already, those working in the abortion industries have come out against the bill arguing that providing anesthesia to the baby would be more government intrusion into the mother/Doctor decision. Minnesota passed legislation in 2005 requiring mothers be provided with the option of giving pain medication to their babies during an abortion. Up to the early 1980s, surgeons were routinely performing surgeries on recently born babies without anesthesia because they did not believe they …

Newsweek's cover image for its abortion article annoyed Sady Doyle.

Apparently, this ‘Newsweek’ cover said more than its allowed thousand words

Sady Doyle writes for Elle.com a fashion and beauty website for women. She recently came out criticizing Newsweek magazine on a December cover story entitled “America’s Abortion Wars.” The publication was writing on the struggle to end abortions in America. A relevant topic particularly with the controversy this previous year involving a number of videos produced by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP). CMP went undercover disguised as representatives of a research company interested in buying baby body parts off the abortion giant. However, as a pro-abortionist, Doyle was not offended by the article itself, what upset her was Newsweek’s cover story image depicting a baby. In her articled titled Why does Newsweek’s Abortion wars Cover show a cartoon fetus instead of a woman Doyle states she was “flabbergasted.” There are a couple of reasons for this. First, pro-abortionists are always disturbed when the conversation on abortion focuses on the child being killed instead of the mother. According to abortionists, the rights of the mother supersedes the rights of the child. The discussion on the …

As food for them?

The prophet Ezekiel uttered a strange prophetic word condemning Israel’s practice of sacrificing their children: 37 for they have committed adultery and blood is on their hands. They committed adultery with their idols; they even sacrificed their children, whom they bore to me, as food for them. (Ezekiel 23:37 NIV) Ezekiel was referring to the worship of Molech, a god found among the Canaanites and Phoenicians. It went by different names — Molech, Kronos and Chemosh are a few. King Solomon in his downward spiral even set up an idol to these gods in a high place in Israel (1 Kings 11:7). Leviticus 18:21 condemned the practice and gave more information:  “and thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech.” Diodorus Siculus, an ancient Greek historian, reported it as an idol with arms sticking out in front at a bit of an angle. The families would place their child on the arms and the baby or infant would roll down into a fire inside the idol. The historian adds the …

Planned Parenthood director discusses providing intact baby cadavers

In its fifth undercover video, produced by Center for Medical Progress (CMP), recording conversations with officials at Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast (PPGC) suggests the organization may be providing intact baby bodies for scientific research. In the videos, CMP uses actors pretending to be representatives of a biologic company who approach officials from different branches of PP about purchasing body parts of aborted babies. Be warned this recent video is probably the most disturbing released so far. Towards the end of the video, the group is in a laboratory picking through body parts of 20-week old baby ripped apart by its abortion — you can see full arms. Some medical researchers believe that babies as young as 20 weeks (perhaps even younger) can feel pain. The fifth video features negotiations with Melissa Farrell. She serves as a research director for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast. In this video the conversation takes a disturbing turn. Instead of providing body parts, the discussion turns to providing fully intact baby cadavers. Farrell says: “If we alter our process, and we are …

“Another Boy”: Fourth video released exposing Planned Parenthood’s harvesting of baby organs

The Center for Medical Progress (CMP) just released its fourth undercover recording of negotiations with staff of Planned Parenthood. CMP uses actors who pretend they are buyers for a human biologic company interested in purchasing harvested organs of aborted babies. Much of the recent video centers around conversations with Savita Ginde, who serves as Vice President and Medical director at the Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountain (PPRM) based in Denver, Colorado. According to Center for Medical Progress, PPRM does about 10,000 abortions a year. Ginde says in the video they need to frame the possible contract as research instead of business to avoid contravening federal laws that prohibit the sale of body parts for profit. Ginde says: “Putting it under research gives us a little bit of a, a little sort of overhang over the whole thing.” She hints that there is the potential for problems: “If you have someone in a really anti-state who’s going to be doing this for you, they’re probably going to get caught.” When CMP’s undercover teams asks for …

Third video alledgely exposing Planned Parenthood’s harvest and sale of baby parts the most disturbing so far

Over the past couple weeks, Center for Medical Progress (CMP) has released videos of their undercover sting operation involving members of Planned Parenthood (PP) on the sale of harvested body parts from aborted babies. In the previous videos, CMP members pretended to be interested parties interested in buying harvested organs. Be warned this third video, perhaps the most disturbing so far, allegedly shows the insides of Planned Parenthood body parts procurement room where harvested organs are displayed. In this video, CMP primarily interviews Holly O’Donnell who claims she worked as a “procurement tech” for Stem Express LCC at a Planned Parenthood facility for six months. Holly not only helped harvest body parts but worked with PP to process them. O’Donnell alleges: “For whatever we could procure, they would get a certain percentage. The main nurse was always trying to make sure that we got our specimens. No one else really cared, but the main nurse did because she knew Planned Parenthood was getting compensated.” She adds that certain parts such as brains and heart were …

How much of your tax dollars goes to fund Planned Parenthood?

With a release of a second video showing an executive with Planned Parenthood (PP) haggling over the price of body parts harvested during abortions, many are wondering what really goes on behind the closed doors of the abortion giant. This was the second undercover video released by Center for Medical Progress (CMP) alleging PP is harvesting and selling baby organs. In the most recent video, Planned Parenthood’s Dr. Mary Gatter eventually settles on a price of $100 for complete organs. During the negotiations, Gatter jokes, “I want a Lamborghini.” She even adds, similar to the first video, that PP will adjust the abortion procedure so not to crush the organs. Since the sale of body parts is illegal under federal law, Gatter insists that the price just covers its costs. She says in the tape: “We don’t want to be in a position of being accused of selling tissue and stuff like that. On the other hand, there are costs associated with the use of our space, and all that kind of stuff.” But some …

Undercover video alleges Planned Parenthood harvesting aborted baby body parts to sell

An undercover video released by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) alleges that Planned Parenthood is selling the body parts of aborted babies. In the sting,  a man and woman posing as potential buyers meet Dr. Deborah Nucatola for lunch to discuss the purchase. Nucatola is senior director at Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s Medical Services division. Part of her responsibility includes training abortion doctors and performing the procedure herself. In the interview, Nucatola seems to suggest baby parts are for sale, a practice CMP states is illegal in the United States. Further the Planned Parenthood director seems to imply the abortion giant changes its abortion procedures to increase its chances of successfully harvesting body parts that includes lungs, livers, hearts and even heads, that seem to bring the best price. CMP alleges that Planned Parenthood is using the partial birth abortion method to get these body parts. It is a practice considered illegal in most states. In the video, Nucatola says: “We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver because we know that, …

Woman states “I’ve had 5 abortions because I love getting pregnant but just not ready for kids”

As evidence mounts that an aborted child feels pain, its easy access seems to have turned abortion into a game for some women. According to a report in the Daily Mail, women are anonymously sharing their feelings about abortion on an app called Whisper. Released in March 2012, Whisper allows users to anonymously post message overlaid on top of images. When a person opens the app they will immediately see six images with the secrets and even some confessions printed on top. It also provides a search feature for message themes. People can then respond to the person’s secret either publicly or privately, though no personal information is shared. It has about 10 million users, and according to reports it is popular among university students. Though most posts display a person’s fears or dreams, some women, taking advantage of its anonymity, are using Whisper to post their abortion stories. Perhaps the most disturbing involved one woman who stated: “I’ve had 5 abortions because I love getting pregnant but just not ready for kids.” Another woman …

Nearly 40% of women having abortions in England had a previous abortion

[by Dean Smith] New figures out of England show some disturbing news on abortions. According to the country’s Department of Health in 2014 37% of women in England and Wales who had an abortion had already had at least one earlier abortion. These figures match those found in France and Sweden. In an effort to justify these numbers, abortion activists claim that birth control is not 100% resulting in unwanted pregnancies, however, some suggest that for some women abortion is their form of birth control. Perhaps the biggest lie promoted by the abortion industry is that they involve unwanted pregnancies — inconvenient, maybe, unwanted no. Couples are paying tens of thousands of dollars to adopt children overseas because there are essentially no babies available in their home country. If a woman chose to carry her child to term, there would be couples lined up willing to adopt. So don’t call the child unwanted.

Study shows premature babies 22-weeks old can survive outside the womb, and yes it impacts the abortion debate

[by Dean Smith] Even admitting their recommendations could potentially impact the abortion debate, researchers are suggesting the medical community should re-look at the viability age of premature babies. Up to this point, it is generally accepted babies born as young as 24 weeks can survive outside the womb. However, a recent research project, reported in the New York Times, is now suggesting the age of viability should be reduced to 22 weeks because of growing evidence babies that young can survive, particularly with modern neonatal improvements.

‘The Silent Scream’ — ripped apart from limb to limb — the dark side of abortion

[by Dean Smith] In April, Kansas was the first state in America to ban dismemberment abortion. This procedure, allowed during the second trimester (fourth to sixth month), involves inserting a long bladed scissor type device through the cervix and ripping off the babies arms and legs allowing it to bleed out. Death often does not come immediately, but it is inevitable. It is the most common method of abortion in the second trimester.

Pain experienced by unborn babies

In her article, The First Ache, published in the New York Times in 2008, Annie Paul reveals how doctors discovered preemie babies as young as 20 weeks and possibly earlier experience pain in the womb. In 1983, Kanwaljeet Anand was working for a neonatal intensive care unit at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, England. Part of his job involved caring for premature infants who had just gone through surgery. He noticed when these babies returned from their operations, they had weak pulses, grey skin, shallow breathing and it took hours to get their vital signs stabilized. It was obvious to Anand, that the premature infants were suffering stress. Unsure why, he received permission to follow a baby through an operation to gain a better understanding on what was happening. When he entered the operating room, Anand discovered that in preparation for surgery all the surgical team did was provide a paralytic to keep the infant still and used no anaesthesia for pain. These babies were operated on without any thought of the pain they would …

Wife of ‘Duck Dynasty’ star confesses she had an abortion and has regretted it ever since

In a recent interview, Lisa Robertson, the wife of Alan Robertson of Duck Dynasty fame, spoke of her regret on having an abortion after an affair. She and her husband Alan were being interviewed by HuffPost Live TV. Duck Dynasty is A&E’s popular reality show that features the Robertson clan who own Duck Commander, a duck-call manufacturer. The family members, who are all Christians, are very bold about their faith, even during the program. Alan is the oldest son of Phil and Kay Robertson who started Duck Commander. Lisa and Alan had gotten together as young teenagers. They were separated for a time when Alan took off to New Orleans to find himself. While he was gone, Lisa turned to sex and drugs.  She ended up in a relationship with an older man and became pregnant at age 16. She decided to have an abortion.

Abortion debate at England’s Oxford University cancelled because of “mental security issues?”

[by Dean Smith] A pro-life group at England’s infamous Oxford University had booked campus facilities on November 18, 2014 for a debate on abortion. Both sides of the issue were to be represented. Everything was going fine, until a feminist group at the university complained. This resulted in the University stepping in and cancelling the debate citing “mental and physical security issues.” How a debate on campus could cause mental security issues is a bit beyond my pay grade, but the university said protestors could get violent.

2014 Miss USA contestant conceived through rape

“I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; “(Psalms 139:14a NASV) When God inspired  King David to write this verse, there was no asterisk or conditions attached. God said each of us is fearfully and wonderfully made. It doesn’t matter what our family life was like. It doesn’t matter if you were born out-of-wedlock or conceived by rape, your circumstances do not decide your value. All of us are full of potential. Therefore, it should not surprise us that the 2014 Miss Pennsylvania winner, Valerie Gatto, told the world she was conceived as a result of her mother’s rape. Ms Gatto, 24, will be participating in the Miss USA competition to be held on Sunday, June 8, 2014.

“I felt like I died” — Patti’s heart-rendering testimony about her abortion

When the pro abortion movement launched its “1-in-3” campaign calling on women to share their happy memories on abortion, Virtue Media knew it needed to counter this message. The stats showed many women who abort a baby will suffer depression and even substance abuse as a result. The abortion movement will use the pro-choice testimonies in celebrations planned for 32 states. They based the “1-in-3” campaign name on their belief a third of women will have an abortion in their lifetime. At the end of October 2013, Virtue Media released six ads featuring heart-rending testimonies of women and their abortion experience. In this ad, we hear Patti’s testimony about her abortion at age 16. Though it happened years earlier, her grief is still real today.

Babies thinking in the womb

Researchers from the University of Helsinki discovered unborn children actually remember words spoken before they were born. The study indicated babies are thinking and retaining information much earlier than previously thought. Because the sound processing part of a baby’s brain develops in the third trimester (starting at 28 weeks), researchers decided to test how much is going on in a babies brain prior to birth. To do this, they had a number of mothers play a recording to their babies a few months prior to birth. It was a

Church vandalized with satanic symbols

U.S.: This past weekend (August 3, 2013), a Brethren Church in Danville, Virginia was vandalized with three satanic symbols and two words oddly written in Latin. The symbols included an inverted cross and pentagram and the Latin words, when translated, read ‘hail satan.’ Danville is a small community and people were shocked something like this would happen there.  Read the full story: Historic Danville church vandalized It may only be a coincidence, but a similar thing happened during protests this past July at the Texas legislature, as the state government was passing the toughest pro-life legislation in the U.S.  Pro-abortion protestors opposing the legislation could be heard chanting “hail satan” as a pro-life speaker addressed a group opposing abortion.

Texas passes stricter abortion laws

Late Friday (July 12, 2013), the Texas Senate passed a law restricting abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy. The legislation also requires abortion clinics maintain the same health standards as hospital surgical units. All that remains for the legislation to come into effect is for Governor Rick Perry to sign the bill. “Today the Texas Legislature took its final step in our historic effort to protect life. This legislation builds on the strong and unwavering commitment we have made to defend life and protect women’s health.” said Perry shortly after the Senate passed the legislation.
