Statue described by some as satanic pays homage to abortion on top of New York courthouse

A new horned female statue, called Now, with tentacles for arms, has been temporarily set up on the roof of a New York state courthouse in New York City alongside the statues of historical figures. Across the street, a sister 18′ statue entitled Witness has been set up in Madison Square Park. The statues are the work of a Pakistani-American artist, Shahzia Sikander and will remain on the site until June when they will be transferred to a location in Houston, Texas. The Blaze described the statue appearing on the roof of New York State’s Supreme Court alongside ancient historical lawgivers, such as Moses, as: “An eight-foot sculpture of a horned female fused to a lotus flower with what appear to be tentacles has been erected above a state courthouse in New York City. The statue joins nine others portraying historical lawgivers, each representing the world’s purportedly great legal systems.” Sikander added that her inspiration was her opposition to the recent overturning of Roe vs Wade, by the US Supreme Court. She dedicated the eight-foot …

Mom meets the son she saved after changing her mind while lying on the abortion table

CBN recently had a story about Melissa Coles, who in 1993 changed her mind about having an abortion while laying on the table and eventually met her son, whose life she spared. Coles, 18, was poor and unmarried made the decision as the doctor’s hand touched her leg to start the procedure. She blurted out ‘I can’t do this’ and the doctor rolling his eyes stopped. Unaware of what to do next, she later found out that adoption was an option. The story exposes the oldest lie in the abortion handbook, that the child is unwanted. The baby may not be wanted by the mother, for a variety of reasons, but there are thousands of families desperate for a child. In Coles’ case, it ended up being a Christian woman, who had given birth to two children who later died because of their disabilities. Coles gave birth to a baby boy in December 1993, who was named David James. Eighteen years later, Cole had a chance to meet the son she had given up for …

For the fourth year in a row, abortion is the world’s leading cause of death

According to Worldometer, a website that tracks a variety of statistics in real time, for the fourth year in a row, abortion is the leading cause of death in the world, the Christian Post (CP) reports. According to Worldometer, there were over 44 million abortions in 2022. Coming in second was communicable diseases which resulted in 13 million deaths, cancer which caused 8 million deaths, smoking which was blamed for 5 million, alcohol which resulted in 2.5 million deaths and AIDS which is blamed for 2 million deaths. Though deaths due to COVID were included in the communicable disease category, on its own it only accounted for 1.2 million deaths in 2022. It barely beat out deaths from automobile accidents at over just one million and one million deaths due to suicide. But CP noted that there is some disagreement on the total number of abortions performed in 2022. The World Health Organization (WHO), which ironically considers abortion an essential health service, puts the number at closer to 73 million. READ: Abortion is leading cause …

Video: Pro-life sign fights back and keeps standing

A man was walking past the Church of the Resurrection School in Lansing, Michigan, which had a pro-life sign opposing Michigan’s pro-abortion bill, Proposal 3. Seeing the sign, the man veered towards it and gives it a good kick, sending it flying into the air. Expecting, he had knocked it down, the man continued walking oblivious to what actually happened. In an incredible athletic move, the sign manages to keep standing. Proposal 3, being voted on in a state-wide referendum vote on Nov 8, would protect abortions in that state after the Roe vs Wade ruling. However, pro-life opponents state the proposal would actually expand abortion. According to a statement on Michigan Catholic College website: “It [Proposal 3] would allow abortions to be performed by anyone, at any point in pregnancy, and for any reason. It would throw away state laws regulating quality, safety, and inspections for abortion clinics. It would remove parental consent requirement for teens seeking abortions, and also teens seeking gender reassignment surgeries.” “This amendment would take Michigan far beyond what was …

British Left-wing politicians calling for jail time for praying near abortion clinics

Left-wing politicians in Britain are demanding jail time for Christians who recite Bible verses or pray near abortion clinics in that country. Under current legislation, Christians who do this currently can face fines, there is push to also include a six-month jail time as part of the penalty. Breitbart explains: Christians who are caught “praying”, “reciting scripture”, or “crossing themselves” near an abortion centre could be sentenced to up to six months in jail in the United Kingdom. British officials are pushing to have Christians who practice their faith too close to abortion centres jailed under revamped crackdown rules aimed at curbing protests against the practice. Under current legislation, it can already be an offence to “audibly pray” within so-called “Safe Zones” established around some abortion centres, with those running afoul of the rules liable for a fine of up to £1,000 (~$1,100). She changed her mind about the abortion, but the doctor refused to stop

The Daily Wire recently reported on the horrific details of an abortion, that Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), had when she was a teen. In an interview with PBS, Bush said that before the procedure started, Bush had changed her mind and told the abortion staff several times that she no longer wanted the abortion, stating that she wasn’t ready. However, Bush alleges that the nurses and doctor refused to listen to her request and conducted the abortion anyway. It was Bush’s second abortion. Uncivilized

By Rick Renner

The material I am about to present concerns a subject that I normally wouldn’t write about. However, it provides a powerful illustration of the depravity Paul prophesied would occur during the last days (see 2 Timothy 3:2,3), and I believe it serves as a wakeup call to the Church. Sometimes we need a stark reminder of the rapid degeneration of society’s moral fabric that is occurring all around us at an ever-increasing rate so we don’t grow complacent and just “go with the flow” of society’s downward moral spiral. As the Church, we have a vital role to play in these perilous times as standard bearers of truth. So bear with me as I take on that role to share some disturbing but important information, and you will understand my point.

REJECTION

One of the most difficult challenges a person can experience is rejection and in a recent article in The Epoch Times, Dawn Milberger, 55, shared her story. Dawn had been adopted into a Christian family, and it wasn’t until she was 18 that she discovered the full story of what had happened, when she finally tracked down her birth mother. It was then she discovered that her mother, with the aid of a nursing friend, tried to abort Dawn several times in the first seven months of pregnancy, before eventually giving birth. Her mother’s friend provided abortion-inducing drugs that she stole from the office where she worked. After telling the story, her birth mom pleaded for Dawn to forgive her. This was the ultimate form of rejection and for the next several months, Dawn struggled as anger began building in her heart over the rejection. But with the help of her adoptive parents, Dawn worked through her emotions to forgive her mother. “He can’t build on us if we have unforgiveness on us. Unforgiveness cannot …

Pro-abortion group targets Amy Barrett, her children and church

A radical, left-wing pro-abortion group has recently encouraged its supporters to target Supreme Court Justice Amy Barrett’s children, church and home, The Blaze reports. Ruth Sent Us, which is named after now deceased Supreme court Justice, Ruth Bader Ginsberg, issued its instructions through a Twitter post, which included photos of Barrett and the name of the church she attends. Ruth Sent Us is protesting the possibility that the Supreme Court may overturn Roe vs Wade, which would give state governments the final say on their abortion laws. READ: Pro-abortion group hints at targeting Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s children, church, and home Before this, Ruth sent a message to Supreme Court Justice, Brett Kavanaugh, with a photo of a billboard near the school where his children attend. The message, which was posted the same day that an armed man was arrested near Kavanaugh’s home, read, “We feel for you” as members of congress are not concerned about your safety. .READ: Abortion activists send ‘special message’ to Brett Kavanaugh’s wife and children, post picture outside their …

Armed man allegedly targeting Justice Kavanaugh arrested near his home

There are concerns that pro-abortionists are becoming increasingly violent after the leak of a Supreme Court draft decision that suggests it is considering overturning Roe vs Wade that forced US states to legalize abortions. The latest involves a man armed with a gun and knife arrested at 2 am (Wednesday, June 8, 2022), near Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s Maryland home, Fox News reports. Justice Kavanaugh is a conservative justice, who supports the US Constitution. The man’s name has not been released, but reports indicate he is in his 20s and from California. According to Supreme Court spokeswoman, Patricia McCabe, the man allegedly threatened Kavanaugh. It appears that the extremist pro-abortion group, Jane’s Revenge, was behind the attack, as the organization’s signature trademark, ‘Jane was Here,’ was sprayed on the building. …

Police officer vindicated after being punished for praying in front of an abortion clinic

The city of Louisville, KY just paid police officer, Matt Schrenger, $75,000 as part of a settlement after the city’s police force put the 13-year veteran on paid administrative leave, pending an investigation, for praying in front of an abortion clinic. According to CBN, in February 2021, Schrenger, who was off duty at the time, was with his dad when they bowed their heads and prayed in front of a closed abortion clinic one Saturday morning. Though in uniform, the decorated officer was wearing an overcoat that covered it up. His moment of prayer, which was caught by surveillance cameras, was condemned by pro-abortionists on social media. Though the resulting investigation by the Louisville Metropolitan Police Department (LMPD) resulted in Schrenger returning to work, with the help of the Thomas More Society, Schrenger sued the city and the LMPD in Oct 2021, for violating his constitutional rights. Poll reveals that most Gen Z and Millennials oppose abortion after a heartbeat detected

Though a slim majority, I was pleased that a recent poll revealed that the majority of Gen Z (born between 1999 and 2015) and Millennials (1981-1998) opposed abortion after a baby’s heartbeat was detected. The Christian Post reports that a pro-life organization, Students for Life, surveyed 853 individuals between the ages of 18-34 in early January. In the survey, the group was provided information that a baby’s heartbeat can be detected at 21 weeks and then asked if they supported abortion after this point. The poll found that 52% stated that abortions should be banned after 21 weeks, compared to 48% who said that abortions should still be allowed. In the same poll, the students were asked about their feelings on Roe vs Wade, the 1973 Supreme court case that legalized abortions across the US. Initially, 60% stated that they ‘very strongly’, ‘strongly’ or ‘somewhat’ supported Roe vs Wade. However, attitudes changed slightly after the pollsters provided the group with more information on the infamous court case. Overall support for Roe vs Wade dropped to …

Tolerant, left-wing agitators destroy pro-life display at Oxford

The talk of tolerance on universities is a bit of a joke. For many of those woke, left-wing students, it really means they only tolerate those who agree with their opinions. Such as what happened at Britain’s Oxford University, when in the name of tolerance, left-wing students destroyed a Christian pro-life display set up for Fresher’s Fair. Several brave left-wing anarchists decided to attack when there was only a single woman manning the display. The old saying, Cowards run in packs, seems applicable here. The Daily Mail reports that the attackers ripped down the posters and tried to throw the literature and pamphlets into the garbage. The intimidation tactics left the woman ‘frightened’ and ‘nervous’. The brave attackers backed away when Campus security showed up. Oxford University condemned the attack, telling students it strongly supported the principles of free speech. The Oxford Student Union also criticized the assault, but added it was forced to allow the pro-life display at the fair because of Oxford’s policy on free speech. Dem lawmaker calls for men to receive vasectomies after 3 children

According to Faithwire, a Democrat lawmaker in Pennsylvania has introduced a bill in the state legislature that would force men who have had either three children or are above the age of 40 (which ever comes first) to have a vasectomy. The bill introduced by Rep Chris Rabb (D), that refers to men as inseminators, requires them to have a vasectomy within six weeks of the birth of a third child. It would also give women who get pregnant the right to sue any man in violation of the above restrictions and also offers a $10,000 reward to any person who exposes a man in violation of the law. The proposed legislation was a mocking response to a bill recently passed in Texas prohibiting abortions after the baby has its first heart beat that typically takes place around the sixth week. Missing in all of this is any serious discussion on when life begins in the womb. Above God? I don’t think so!

What would happen if we start calling things what they actually were? An example I thought about this morning is Pro-Choice versus Pro-Life. Those are on the Pro-Choice side make it seem like Pro-Life is bad. As if by choosing life, we are somehow destroying women. I do not understand how choosing life is a bad thing unless you don’t value life. Which of course is what abortionists do. They put the needs of the mothers over the desires of the fathers and even over the life of their unborn children. Terms such as inconvenient and unplanned are thrown around to justify murdering children. There is nothing unplanned in God’s world. God forms each one of us in the womb. Even the discarded unborn children are his creations. Yet they are destroyed. Pro-Choicers decide they know more than God and that some people’s rights and wants are more important than another person’s life. That is the essence of abortion, the convenience of a woman who doesn’t want a child. There is huge hypocrisy in a …
