Focus on the Family cleverly exposes the hypocrisy of the abortion debate through ‘We’re having a fetus!’ ad campaign

A clever ad campaign by Focus on the Family has exposed the hypocrisy of the abortion debate.

When a woman is pregnant and is looking forward to having the child, she gleefully tells the world “I am having a baby.”

However, if the woman decides she doesn’t want it, then she tells the world that ‘it’s a fetus’ as she dehumanizes the baby to justify its extermination.

In its ad campaign, Focus on the Family exposes this hypocrisy by creating the ad when announcing her pregnancy, a wife says “We’re having a fetus!”, Fox News reports:

The ad begins by showing a couple trading the results of a pregnancy test. The woman excitedly exclaims to her husband, “It’s positive! We’re having a fetus!”

The scene transitions to another couple in an ultrasonography room, where a sonographer glides the transducer over the expecting mother’s stomach. The mother, viewing the ultrasound image on the screen, reaches out to it and says, “Hi, fetus.”

Several other illustrations follow, leading up to one where a little girl admonishes her parents for using the term.

“Um, it’s a baby,” she says.
