Asteroid ‘2018 AH’ will pass earth on Dec 27, 2021

The Jerusalem Post had an interesting article on 2018 AH, an asteroid that will pass earth on December 27, 2021. In astronomical terms, it is not huge. The asteroid is about 190 meters in size, the equivalent of the Washington Monument. And there is little chance of it hitting the earth, because it will cruise by at a safe distance of about 4.5 million kilometres. But this is not the first time 2018 AH made an appearance. As the name suggests, it zoomed by earth in 2018. But there were a couple of interesting things about that earlier visit that caught my attention. First it was only 296,758 kilometres away when it slipped by earth, which means it was nearly 100,000 kilometres closer to earth than the moon (384,000 kilometres). The second thing that concerned astronomers is that they had no idea it was coming. They only saw it two days after it had already zoomed by. Apparently, it had approached on a trajectory from the sun, making it impossible to see. So what would …

Migration or Immigration: Why are so many people crossing borders?

You have probably heard about caravans of people, forming in Central America and travelling to the US border, and then crossing into the US and claiming to be refugees. You might have also heard that many refugee claimants decide that the US does not have what they need, and then cross into Canada. That might have stopped, with the COVID crisis. Governments can say that they are keeping people out for health reasons. If the COVID crisis declines enough, that route for migration will start again. There are other migrant routes. People travel across the English channel to Britain in small boats, usually from France. They also want to live in a new country, and thousands are trying. Some find a boat with room for them, and cross over to England, or drown. I have crossed the channel on large ferries, and once on a large hovercraft. That was interesting for me, but I would never want to sail in those rough waters in a small boat. There are also people who travel from Africa, …

Is a burnt car, a sign of the times?

A recent story in a Canadian newspaper, the National Post, reveals the subtle changes taking place in our culture that Jesus said would be one of the indicators that we are entering the end times. Ironically, it involved a car crash that took place on a Sunday, Oct 31, 2021, when two teens crashed into a tree near Springwater, Ontario, Canada. The resulting crash caused the vehicle to catch fire and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reported that instead of helping the two teens, who were struggling to get out of the burning vehicle, those passing by were more interested in videoing the event. According to OPP spokesperson, Liz Newton, videos of the crash, that ended up on several social media sites, showed several cars slowly driving by instead of stopping and helping the two escape. Fortunately, the two teens survived, when a police officer stumbled upon the scene and was able to pull them out. The two remain in hospital with serious injuries. The OPP added that no charges have been laid against those …

Did the Apostle John see programmable currency?

With digital currency such as Bitcoin emerging, there are several reports of governments stating their intention to introduce digital currencies at a national level, replacing cash. However, many have raised privacy concerns about such a currency, as it will be programmable and could easily be associated with your identity through such things as a social security number. As a result: Governments will be able to track every purchase you make. Governments will know automatically know how much money you have in your accounts without having to go through courts and a bank But there are other concerns about the programming aspect of this digital currency, because not only will governments be able to monitor your spending, they will also have the ability to control it, if they so choose. For example, it could be set to restrict a person’s purchase of a weapon if they haven’t completed the proper application forms, which is not necessarily a bad thing. But it could also be used to limit a person’s ability to purchase other items if the …

Video: Lava tsunami turns up the heat on the end times?

We know from the Bible, that an increase in volcanic activity will be part of the end times’ countdown leading to what the prophet Joel describes as the Day of the Lord (Joel 2:30-31). I recently saw several incredible videos of volcanic activity in October. One involves a lava tsunami in Iceland. The second, a column of smoke associated with the eruption of Mt Aso in Japan on Oct 20, 2021, that sent smoke and ash 3.5 km into the atmosphere: The third involves ash and smoke pouring out of Mt Etna, Sicily, Italy on Oct 23, 2021: And the fourth involves the eruption of the La Palma volcano on Spain’s Canary Islands:

Walgreens closes 5 more San Francisco stores due to organized shoplifting gangs

Fox News is reporting that Walgreens is closing five more stores in San Francisco because of organized shoplifting gangs that are plundering these stores. It has already closed 10 stores in the city since 2019 because of the thefts at California stores are now five time Walgreens’ national shoplifting average. The gangs have been emboldened by the passing of a law in the state, that does not consider shoplifting a felony until it exceeds $950. Since its passing, gangs have been organizing shoplifting rings, often composed of underage or homeless people, with leaders even bringing along calculators to ensure they don’t exceed $950. The stolen goods are then resold. READ: Walgreens closing 5 more San Francisco stores due to theft 12 And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. BC women awakens to find meteor in her bed

Around 11:30 PM on Oct 3, 2021, Ruth Hamilton of Nelson, BC, Canada was suddenly wakened by her barking dog and then a sudden explosion. CTV reports that after turning on her bedroom light, Hamilton immediately noticed a hole in the ceiling of her bedroom about the size of fist. It wasn’t until after she called 911 and was straightening out her bed, that she saw a 4-5 inch chunk of black rock underneath one of the pillows. After police arrived, they checked with a group of men still working at a nearby construction site who reported seeing a ‘bright ball in the sky.” It has now been confirmed that the rock in Hamilton’s bed was was a meteor that had slammed into her home. For those wondering why Hamilton’s bed never caught fire, after burning through earth’s upper atmosphere, meteors begin rapidly cooling at about 20 kms above the earth. Three keys to victory in spiritual warfare

In a recent article on God TV, Rhoda Gayle discussed a sermon by John Kilpatrick who is head pastor of Church of His Presence in Daphne, AL. Pastor Kilpatrick shared that there are signs that spiritual attacks against Christians are increasing. He told his audience, “The level of warfare is definitely increasing. You can think back to when you were much younger, you can think back to whenever you have a much simpler life…  Today, everything has changed.” We know from the book of Revelation, that Satan’s attack on believers will become more overt and aggressive in the end times. But out of this heightened warfare will emerge a group of believers who conquered or overcame satan: 11 And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even[a]when faced with death. (Revelation 12:11 NASV The Greek word translated ‘overcome’, ‘enikēsan’, speaks of such an overwhelming defeat, that according to the Pocket Lexicon to the Greek New Testament, it means …

Is America’s withdrawal from Afghanistan a fulfillment of Islamic end-times prophecy?

Similar to Christianity, Islam also has an end times theology that involves the arrival of a Muslim Messiah, who will set up Islam on world-wide scale. This person is referred to as the ‘Mahdi’ According to CBN, the take over of Afghanistan by the Taliban, after America’s withdrawal, is now being heralded as a fulfilment of prophecy paving the way for the arrival of the ‘Mahdi.’ It reports that the radical Islamic group’s twitter page is specifically referencing ‘black flags’, that are tied to the Islamic end times. The radical Islamic group states, “Black flags will arise from Khorasan and nothing will be able to return them.” According to author Joel Richardson, the reference to black flags from Khorasan, which is located in Afghanistan, is connected to the arrival of the Islamic Messiah. In a webinar sponsored by CBN, Richardson explained: “It says an army will come from Khorasan carrying black flags and then it says this: ‘If you see them give them your allegiance.  Even if you have to crawl over ice.  Because this …

Australia: Church fined $5,000 for not displaying QR code on door

The Australian government of New South Wales (NSW) requires most businesses to display a bar code on the outside of the premises, provided by the government. This even includes churches, and all staff and congregation members must scan the barcode before entering the church, so the government can keep track of who has entered the building.

Three volcanos erupt off the coast of Alaska

I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth,Blood, fire, and columns of smoke.31 The sun will be turned into darkness,And the moon into blood,Before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. (Joel 2:30-31 NASV) Fox News is reporting that three volcanos are erupting on a remote chain of islands located in the Bering Sea off the coast of Alaska. According to the report, the three volcanos on the Alaskan Peninsula have been erupting simultaneously for about two weeks. And though the eruptions appear to be growing stronger, those monitoring the situation are not concerned at this point. The most worrisome of the volcanos is the Pavlof Volcano because it is only 35 miles away from the small community of Cold Bay. Though it seems the least active of the three, people are reporting that they can see its lava flows. The other two volcanos, Great Sitkin Volcano and Semisopochnoi Volcano, are hundreds of miles away from people, but Semisopochnoi is reportedly spewing ash 10,000 feet into the air. In the verse …

It’s the End of the World!

My wife says the world is going to end soon. She expects the second coming of Christ in the next few years, certainly around the mid-century mark at the latest. And she’s not alone. One friend, who was over yesterday, thinks it is a matter of a few years or perhaps only months. A couple who ministers in our area feel it is imminent. They are warning people to prepare themselves for the return of Jesus. As for myself, I don’t really know. There are certain ways to view the prophecies of Daniel, a book in the Old Testament, that would indicate their view is pretty accurate. No matter when he comes, there are three things we need to know about the end of the world. THE FIRST THING is, no one really knows the hour or the day of his second coming. The Bible says we can know the season, though, and that is what my wife and our friends are talking about. So, if you see a sign that says Jesus is coming …

Nostradamus: Did he know something about us?

Do you want to know the future? Are you concerned about the way things are going? Who isn’t? You may have noticed Internet talk about a man named Nostradamus. His full name was Michele de Nostredame, and he lived in France from 1503 to 1566. In his lifetime, he published books that seemed to predict the future. Our problem with those books, in modern times, is that his writing was poetic and cryptic, never easy to understand. Today, the writings of Nostradamus are very popular, and many people believe that he predicted the future; and they believe we are now living in those future times. Nostradamus worked as an apothecary or pharmacist, before he became famous for predicting the future. His sideline business has been described as ‘occult fortune teller’ and that is probably why Christians don’t talk about him, very much. His family was Jewish, but they converted to the Roman Catholic religion, apparently before he was born. That might be important because many Jewish people believe in the tradition of “Kabbalah” a type …

Poll: Secular Americans, less likely to be vaccinated for COVID, than Christians

While some in the mainstream media are focussing on Evangelical Christians as one of the largest groups resisting the COVID vaccine, a study of the results of a May poll by Eastern Illinois University Assistant Political professor, Ryan Burge, has come to a different conclusion. His analysis of the data from a survey conducted by Data for Progress, revealed that it was the “young and secular” who were actually leading the unvaccinated charge. Burge wrote: “I don’t find a lot of evidence that evangelicals are the ones lagging behind. In fact, I find that those without any religious affiliation were the least likely to have received at least one dose of any COVID-19 vaccine.” Burge added that the results of the poll showed that in early May 2021, 62% of Evangelical Americans had received at least one vaccine shot. This compared to 72% of “non-evangelical Protestants” and 47% of the nones, those with no religious affiliation. After accounting for multiple factors, such as race, education, age, income, and gender that affects a person’s willingness and …

Archaeologists find evidence of Biblical earthquake in Jerusalem

In Amos 1:1, the prophet did an interesting thing. He used an earthquake that hit Judah and Israel about 2,800 years ago, during the reign of Judah’s King Uzziah, as a sign post dating his prophetic calling: 1 The words of Amos, who was among the sheepherders from Tekoa, which he saw in visions concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam son of Joash, king of Israel, two years before the earthquake. Uzziah reigned as King of Judah between 790 and 739 BC. It is believed the earthquake took place around 750 BC. This was nearly 200 years before the destruction of the Temple in 586 BC, when Babylon invaded Jerusalem and hauled off the nation into captivity. But Amos was not the only prophet to mention the earthquake, centuries later the prophet Zechariah (520 to 470 BC) was still talking about the earthquake that occurred in King Uzziah’s day (Zechariah 14:5). This suggests that there was such devastation, it was still in public memory as it …

Does a court case in Michigan help us understand the Mark of the Beast?

An interesting court case in Michigan slightly pries open a door for a brief discussion on the Mark of Beast, mentioned in the Book of Revelation, that I will take advantage of in this article. In his vision of the end times, the Apostle John said that people would be required to take the Mark of the Beast and if they didn’t, they would be prevented from buying or selling (Revelation 13:17). Though no actual mark is involved, a court case taking place in Michigan has a similar ring to it. According to Charisma News, Country Mill Farms has been participating in an annual farmers’ market in East Lansing for several years. In 2016, the farm, owned by Steve and Bridget Tennes, a Christian family, were banned from setting up a booth at the market because after checking out the farm’s Facebook page, an East Lansing official discovered the family believed in the Biblical definition of marriage. In 2017, represented by Alliance Defending Freedom, the Tennes were able to overturn the ban with the judge …

Speaking dangerously: ‘I am for Christ’

The phrase ‘I am for Christ’ is quickly becoming one of the more dangerous phrases a person can utter, no mater where you live. According to an article on Morning Star News, uttering that phrase nearly cost Abudlawali Kijwalo, 39, his life. Kijwalo lives in Uganda and was born into a Muslim family that was noted for is dedication to Islam by making annual pilgrimages to Mecca. But Kijwalo had decided to convert to Christianity and was starting to listen to Gospel music. This angered the family and particularly his brother, Murishid, who repeatedly told Kijwalo to telling people he now believed in Jesus. It took a violent turn, when Kijwalo and his brother were looking after the family’s cattle that were grazing in a nearby pasture. Murishid approached his brother and asked, “Are you still a Muslim, or you are now a Christian.” Kijwalo simply replied: “I am for Christ.” As soon as he uttered those words, his brother pulled out a machete from beneath his robe and forcibly struck Kijwalo in the head, …

Does ‘The Great Reset’ and new world order include the ‘Mark of the Beast’?

You may have heard about ‘The Great Reset’, a plan originated by the World Economic Forum (WEF), a group of Global economic and political elitists, who want to use the COVID pandemic to remake the world along a socialist, totalitarian theme. This would result in a small group of elitists essentially controlling the world. As part of it, they even envision a world where people would no longer be allowed to own property. But in the midst of this discussion on ‘The Great Reset’, LifeSiteNews uncovered a video of an interview with Klaus Schwab, who founded the WEF, and currently heads its Great Reset program. In a 2016 interview with the Swiss based media outlet, RTS, Schwab stated that he believed computer chips would be installed in people’s brains within the next ten years. According to Schwab, it would start gradually, a frog in a boiling pot scenario, where the chips would be put on our clothes and eventually be installed in our brains or under our skin that would allow people to directly connect …

No Time for Cowardice

By Dr. Michael L. Brown According to the book of Revelation, “the cowardly,” along with a host of other sinners, like murderers and the sexually immoral, will one day be cast into the lake of fire (see Revelation 21:8). But what is so bad about being cowardly? Why is it such a serious sin? The Greek word used for “cowardly” also means “fearful,” and it is found two other times in the New Testament.  As explained by the Greek scholar Celsas Spicq, “Jesus reproaches the apostles for this psychological fear when they are terrified by the storm (Matt 8:26; Mark 4:40), because it involves a moral deficiency: they no longer have faith, or they have but little faith in the presence of the Savior, who has to reassure them.” In contrast, “when one relies on God, there is nothing to fear.” (From his Theological Lexicon of the New Testament.) So, there is something morally deficient in being fearful when Jesus Himself is with you. And in the situation described in the Gospels, when the disciples …

Is Communist China’s new digital currency a sign of the times?

According to a former executive director with the World Bank, Erik Bethel, Communist China is on the verge of creating a digital version of its currency (official called renminbi but popularly referred to as the yuan) that could result in the regime going cashless in the near future. It will be the world’s first government-backed digital currency. In an interview with CBN, Bethel states the regime’s digital currency, similar to the Bitcoin, will be controlled by the country’s national bank, the People’s Bank of China. As part of its testing phase, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) will soon release $6 million dollars to its citizens that can use one of two apps approved by the CCP to make purchases. It is believed that the communist regime is preparing for a full launch of its digital coin in time for the 2022 Winter Olympics. Once this process starts, the CCP will have full access to people’s spending 24/7. Many believe the move is just another step in the Communist regime’s attempt to regulate and moderate the …
