This is our most-watched video on Opentheword’s YouTube channel. It was one of our first videos, and despite the video’s poor production quality, people still watched it. I realize that 38,000 views are minuscule compared to other popular videos on YouTube, but for our channel, it is big. Most people don’t realize that Sir Isaac Newton (1642ā€“1727), who was a renowned mathematician, physicist, and astronomer, also studied the Bible and particularly end-times theology. Anyway, the video is about why Sir Isaac Newton predicted that Jesus would not return before 2060 AD.

In a recent interview with Podcaster Joe Rogan, former Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson revealed his opinion on the appearance of UFOs and in some instances even aliens, the Christian Post reports. The four-horseman of the Apocalypse that the Apostle John saw being released on the world in his vision of the end times is perhaps one of his best-known apocalyptic references, other than the anti-Christ and the mark of the beast. With that in mind, many people in Britain, and around the world, were stunned to see video and images of a bloodied white horse and black horse charging through the streets of London, England on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. The horses were part of a group of seven horses in training with a British army cavalry unit. The animals were startled by a work project going on nearby, and four horses bucked off their riders. With shades of Big Brother from Orson Wells’ dystopian novel, 1948, the municipality of  ĆŽles-de-la-Madeleine in Quebec, Canada will require all visitors to download a QR code to visit and leave their island community, CBC reports. The island, with a population of 12,000, is located in the Gulf of St. Lawrence and can only be accessed by boat or plane. It’s part of the municipality’s plan implemented in 2023 to have people pay a $30 fee to visit the island in 2024, which will be paid via the QR code at departure. The government originally intended that island residents would also need to download the QR code but backed down after the outrage. It will now only demand citizens show identification when they want to leave. However, many insist this is a violation of their rights under the Charter of Rights and will probably result in a court challenge. Island residents are also upset because their family and friends will now be required to download the code and pay the fee, in addition to their …

When discussing Iran, we need to separate the views of the country’s citizens from those of its tyrannical leader. Iran is currently controlled by an Islamic fundamentalist, Ali Khamenei, who serves as the country’s Supreme Leader, an unelected position. Though there are elections in the country for the country’s legislature, the Supreme Leader decides who will serve as president and cabinet ministers and ultimately approves or disapproves of any legislation that is passed. An asteroid big enough to destroy a large city zoomed by Earth yesterday, and astronomers suggest it will be close enough for people with backyard telescopes to see it over the next couple of days, Live Science reports. With the catchy name of 2013 NK4, the asteroid is 2,000 feet (0.61 km) wide and traveling at 37,000 mph (ca. 59,546 km/h). Though, it was first discovered in 2013, the asteroid has probably, unknowingly, been spinning by Earth for several decades. This is the first time, since its discovery, that it has been close enough for people to see it using telescopes. While its elliptical orbit takes it around the sun every 378 days, computer simulations calculate that it will likely never be a threat to hit Earth. American intelligence is warning that Iran could attack Israel within the next 48 hours in retaliation for an Israeli missile strike in Damascus that killed an Iranian General and six other Iranian military officials, Israel365 News reports. Why is the world starting to hate Israel?

It is estimated that there are just over 15 million Jews around the world today, with just over 50% of them living in the US and another 30% in Israel itself. From there, we see a dramatic drop-off with France, Russia, and Canada each having about 3%, rounding off the top five. With approximately 8 billion people living on the planet, Jews represent only 0.2% of the world’s population. Yet, despite their insignificant numbers, Jews have been targeted with a disproportional amount of hate. Since Hamas’s brutal invasion of Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, that hatred has surfaced with supporters of Palestine around the world chanting “From sea to sea, Palestine will be free,” which essentially calls for the elimination of the state of Israel despite its historical roots in the area. Things are definitely taking a negative turn for Christians in America, and it was perhaps best demonstrated by comments made by John Cooper in an episode of ‘Politically Rude,’ hosted by Abby Johnson, Church Leaders reports. Cooper, who is the lead singer for the Christian rock band, Skillet, recently published a book in November 2023 entitled, ā€œWimpy, Weak, and Woke: How Truth Can Save America From Utopian Destruction.ā€ The book focuses on the ā€œphilosophies behind utopian dreams that become dystopian nightmares, and presents a positive vision for how we can thrive and flourish.ā€ The book states that man’s solutions will not cure the raging ails of the world, and only God is the solution. The total solar eclipse that will pass over parts of Canada and the US today has certainly caught everyone’s attention. Americans living in a 115-mile-wide swath that travels from Maine in the North to Texas in the South will be within the total eclipse zone and for about 4 minutes will experience total darkness. Many outside that zone are making travel plans to visit so they can personally witness this rare solar event. It is expected that one million people will visit Texas, where parts of that state will experience a total eclipse of the sun. Another half a million could be traveling to Indiana and Ohio for the same reason, according to eclipse cartographer Michael Zeiler. Niagara Falls, on both the Canadian and American sides of the border, is another region expecting overflow crowds, as it is within the total eclipse epicenter. A recent photo published on the Temple Institute’s Facebook page has many speculating that a man has been selected to sacrifice one of the red heifers brought to Israel from Texas in 2022, Charisma News reports. The photo is of a young man standing outside the pen where the red heifers are being housed comes with the caption, “A KOHEN FIT TO PERFORM THE RED HEIFER CEREMONY!” The ash from the red heifer sacrifice is necessary for the purification ritual for priests working in the Temple (Numbers 19:1-11), and according to Jewish tradition are to be sacrificed at the age of three. The post goes on to explain that this individual, along with others, met the criteria for being accepted as a priest. Many believe that the building of a Jewish Temple in Jerusalem is a critical signpost leading up to Christ’s second coming. A solar eclipse will occur in the US on Monday, April 8, 2024 and the state of Texas will have a front-row seat for this unique solar event. Parts of the state will actually experience a total eclipse. This means, that the moon will completely block the sun, resulting in the day being almost as dark as night, giving people the chance to see stars that typically are only seen in the night sky. Students at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada were shocked when they discovered that a vending machine on the campus was using facial recognition software without their consent, CBN reports. Students only became aware that the M&M vending machine was doing this when a fourth-year computer student, River Stanley, reported an unusual error that popped up on its display while he was making a purchase. It read: “Invenda.Vending. FacialRecognition.App.exe ā€” Application error.” When Stanley wrote about his discovery in one of the university’s newsletters, MathNews, he asked, “Why does it have a facial recognition app? Several weeks back, a person commented on one of my videos about how there are prophecies in the Bible that have never been fulfilled. For the first time in its 75-year history, In-N-Out-Burger is closing down one of its fast-food locations, the Christian Post reports. It did not make the decision because the restaurant was losing money. In fact, the location was profitable and busy. The decision to close the restaurant in Oakland, California, located near the city airport, was due to rising violence in the area surrounding the restaurant and the danger it posed to employees and customers. “We have made the decision to close our In-N-Out Burger location in Oakland, California, due to ongoing issues with crime,ā€ said In-N-Out representative Denny Warnick in a prepared statement. ā€œDespite taking repeated steps to create safer conditions, our Customers and Associates are regularly victimized by car break-ins, property damage, theft, and armed robberies.ā€ According to media reports, there have been over 1,300 incidents of crime in the area surrounding the location since 2019.
