Canada: Judge rules against pro-life person, stating Charter violations were minimal

According to the National Post, a Canadian federal judge has just ruled that though the federal government’s summer student job program violated an individual’s Charter rights that guarantee Freedom of Religion, the consequences were minimal and as a result dismissed the case.

Tolerant, left-wing agitators destroy pro-life display at Oxford

The talk of tolerance on universities is a bit of a joke. For many of those woke, left-wing students, it really means they only tolerate those who agree with their opinions. Such as what happened at Britain’s Oxford University, when in the name of tolerance, left-wing students destroyed a Christian pro-life display set up for Fresher’s Fair. Several brave left-wing anarchists decided to attack when there was only a single woman manning the display. The old saying, Cowards run in packs, seems applicable here. The Daily Mail reports that the attackers ripped down the posters and tried to throw the literature and pamphlets into the garbage. The intimidation tactics left the woman ‘frightened’ and ‘nervous’. The brave attackers backed away when Campus security showed up. Oxford University condemned the attack, telling students it strongly supported the principles of free speech. The Oxford Student Union also criticized the assault, but added it was forced to allow the pro-life display at the fair because of Oxford’s policy on free speech. Dem lawmaker calls for men to receive vasectomies after 3 children

According to Faithwire, a Democrat lawmaker in Pennsylvania has introduced a bill in the state legislature that would force men who have had either three children or are above the age of 40 (which ever comes first) to have a vasectomy. The bill introduced by Rep Chris Rabb (D), that refers to men as inseminators, requires them to have a vasectomy within six weeks of the birth of a third child. It would also give women who get pregnant the right to sue any man in violation of the above restrictions and also offers a $10,000 reward to any person who exposes a man in violation of the law. The proposed legislation was a mocking response to a bill recently passed in Texas prohibiting abortions after the baby has its first heart beat that typically takes place around the sixth week. Missing in all of this is any serious discussion on when life begins in the womb. YouTube bans LifeSiteNews, a pro-life group

YouTube has completely removed all of LifeSiteNews’ videos and effectively banned it from the popular social media platform. LifeSiteNews is a pro-life organization and had 300,000 subscribers on YouTube before it was deplatformed. The Catholic pro-life group has moved its videos over to Rumble, a growing free-speech video platform.

Abortionist who cut baby vocal chords has medical license suspended

An abortionist from Alabama who boasted on Twitter in 2018 that she cut the vocal chords of babies to stop them from screaming has lost her medical license. CBN reports: Dr. Leah N. Torres, an Alabama-based abortionist known for her brash and often offensive Twitter exploits, has had her medical license suspended. Torres is the doctor who sparked intense backlash in 2018, when she gloated via Twitter about cutting the vocal cords of pre-born babies while performing abortions. In the tweet, which she has since deleted, the abortionist wrote: “You know fetuses can’t scream, right?” “I transect the cord [first] so there’s really no opportunity, if they’re even far enough along to have a larynx,” she continued. “I won’t apologize for performing medicine. I’m also a ‘uterus ripper outer,’ if that’s how you’d like to describe hysterectomy.” READ: Abortionist Who Gloated About Cutting Preborn Baby Vocal Cords Loses Medical License Then there is the inconvenient truth that babies in the womb can feel pain. The church is facing battles on every side

2020 has been a very unusual year for the church as we face attacks on every side. We have states such as California determined to stop churches from reopening. The state is imposing massive fines if churches do and court cases are being launched over the constitutional right of believers to practise their faith. And recently a different battle has emerged in the state of Washington. With the help of Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), Cedar Park Assembly of God in Kirkland, Washington is taking the state of Washington to court because of a law the state assembly passed in 2018 requiring churches to provide abortion coverage if it also provided maternity benefits to its workers. According to ADF, what is particularly disturbing is that failure to comply could not only result in fines but as well imprisonment. ADF noted that the law as it stands does not provide a religious exemption. As a result of the law’s passing, insurance companies began to insert abortion coverage in the Cedar Park’s plan. In its brief to the …

Medical researchers state babies feel pain in the womb before 24 weeks

According to an article in England’s Journal of Medical Ethics written by two medical researchers, one of whom is actually pro-choice, they concluded that babies in the womb may feel pain as early as 13 weeks. The duo, Stuart Derbyshire and John Bockmann, added that there is “good evidence” that baby feels pain as early as 18 weeks. This is alarming because according to the latest statistics, England’s abortion industry performs about 6,000 abortions annually on babies 18 weeks and older. It is generally accepted that babies feel pain after 24 weeks and England forbids abortions after this point. However, this paper pushes the time babies in the womb feel pain earlier than previously accepted. In an article published in England’s Daily Mail, the British Pregnancy Advisory Service quickly rejected this study, even though Derbyshire has provided advice to two pro abortion giants, the American based Planned Parenthood and the UK’s Pro-Choice Forum. This also represents a 180 degree turn for Derbyshire, because in an article written for the British American Journal in 2006, he …

God knows your potential

J.K. Dobbins, 21, is a star running back with the Ohio State Buckeyes and some consider him a potential Heisman Trophy winner which honors the most outstanding football player in college football. Though, Dobbins is not considered a leading candidate for the award, he is certainly in the conversation. During the game, Gus Johnson, who was calling the game on behalf of the Fox Sports network, made a startling announcement about Dobbins. Johnson said that there was a player on the Ohio team, whose mother had nearly aborted her child but changed her mind at the last moment. As the TV cameras focused on Dobbins, Johnson said: “J.K. Dobbins’ mom became pregnant when she was 18 years old, she went to see the doctor because she was thinking about aborting the baby, but changed her mind.” Gus Johnson, Fox Sports Johnson added that Maya later described J.K. as her “miracle baby.” Then as if to add an exclamation mark on Johnson’s statement, Dobbins went on to have the best game of his college career, rushing …

‘Unplanned’ smashes box office expectations in Canada

Despite attacks from the radical left, politicians and the pro-choice crowd, the movie Unplanned did extremely well in Canadian movie theaters over the weekend. The movie is scheduled for a seven-day release running from July 12 through the 18th. Listing of theaters showing Unplanned at the end of the article. The movie tells the story of Abby Johnson’s conversion from the pro-choice movement to pro-life.  Abby worked as a director of a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in the US and dramatically changed her mind after witnessing the abortion of a 13-week-old baby. And Unplanned continues this tradition as according to its producers they have received  letters from many abortion workers have turned their backs on the abortion industry after viewing the film. According to reports, the movie earned an estimated $7,041 per screen based on reports from 49 Canadian theaters. This gave it the second highest per screen average in all of North America for that weekend. If the movie had shown in 1,500 theaters instead of 53, it could have grossed an unprecedented $5 …

‘Free speech’ victory: The Unplanned movie will now be shown in Canada

In what many believe is a battle for free speech in Canada, the movie Unplanned will finally be shown in selected theaters across Canada between July 12th and 18th. The controversial movie starring Ashley Bratcher portrays the story of Abby Johnson’s conversion from a former director of a Planned Parenthood abortion facility in the US to a strong pro-life advocate in 2009. Abby walked out of Planned Parenthood after being traumatized as she watched the abortion of a 13-week-old baby. The movie was shown in selected theaters across the US earlier in the year earning revenues of $18 million compared to production costs of $14 million. For two weeks it ranked as one of the top ten most watched movies in American theaters. Though Rotten Tomato Reviewers hated the movie, often a good indicator it is probably worth seeing, the viewer rating was overwhelming positive. When there were talks of Unplanned being shown in Canada there was a huge uproar on social media with some theaters actually receiving threats if they decided to show the …

‘Light of life’: There is an explosion of light at the moment of conception in a human egg

Researchers at Chicago’s Northwestern University have videoed the moment of conception in a human egg and it causes a flash of light. In an earlier study, the research team noticed an explosion of light in mice eggs when they came in contact with sperm, and were uncertain if it took place in humans. Speaking on behalf of the research team, Dr. Teresa Woodruff said: “We discovered the zinc spark just five years ago in the mouse, and to see the zinc radiate out in a burst from each human egg was breath-taking. It was remarkable.” According to the researchers at the precise moment a sperm touches an egg, it causes a spontaneous release of calcium that results in zinc being released inside the egg. The light explosion occurs as the zinc binds with fluorescent molecules. The flash is so intense, it can actually be seen outside the egg. They now believe that zinc starts the process of creating a completely new genetic person. They were able to create this explosion by inserting sperm enzymes, versus …

Abortion increases the risk of mental health issues for women

Many years ago, my wife and I were involved with a young lady who had separated from her husband who was involved with another woman. It had been a difficult time. The husband was also abusive and the police had gotten involved. However, as she was separating she didn’t realize she was pregnant and when that came to light, everyone in her life including family, friends and even the police counseled her to get an abortion, which she did. She wasn’t a Christian and now living thousands of miles away from her family, she was still haunted by the abortion and treated the abortion date like an ugly birthday. She was depressed and struggling because of the abortion. This is the one side of abortion that the activists don’t like telling anyone about, namely the emotional trauma associated with abortion that can follow a woman through out her life. According to Liberty Counsel (LC), a recent study in the British Journal of Psychiatryy concluded that there are several mental health issues associated with abortion. The …

Today marks the anniversary of the remarkable water baptism of ‘Jane Roe’

August 8, 2018 marks the 23rd anniversary of the water baptism of Norma McCorvey in a Garland, Texas swimming pool.  She was baptized by an Evangelical minister Philip (Flip) Benham who today leads a pro-life organization called Operation Save America. For those who don’t know, Norma McCorvey was the woman involved in Roe vs Wade, the infamous 1973 Supreme Court case that ruled it was illegal to criminalize abortion, opening the door for unimpeded abortions across the US. She came from a rough family. Her mother was an alcoholic and her father abandoned the family. In 1969, Norma McCorvey, who was living in Dallas, Texas, was 21 years old and pregnant with her third child. She wanted an abortion which was illegal. Her friends recommended that she claim the pregnancy was due to rape, one of the rare exceptions that many states allowed for abortion. However, since she had not filed a police report that was ruled out. McCorvey was eventually told about two lawyers who were willing to take on her case. Using the …

Singing sensation Andrea Bocelli nearly aborted

The Grammy Awards are held annually by The Recording Academy to honor singing achievements primarily in the English-speaking world. This year’s awards were held in New York’s Madison Square Gardens on January 28th and some described it as more political than musical. This may explain why its ratings are down 24% over the last year. Aside from the singing awards, one of the highlights of these type of events are the dresses and suits worn by celebrities. This year was no different. But the one that seems to have gained the spot light, was an anti-abortion dress worn by American singer and song writer Joy Villa. On her dress she painted an image of a baby in the womb and her handbag had the word “choose life” written on it. In an interview with Foxnews, Villa said she was honoring her decision to give up a child for adoption when she was 21, during a crisis pregnancy. Villa added that the image was “a painting of my daughter when I was eight months pregnant.” When …

Canadian Government’s Assault on ‘Freedom of Speech’

With the election of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in 2015, Canada has taken a hard left turn against free speech. Last year, the Liberal government announced that it will no longer be handing out grants under its Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program to organizations that do not agree with abortion. Under the program, the government provides funding for about 70,000 students to be hired by religious groups that run day cares, summer camps and drop in centers. The problem started when an organization called the Abortion Rights Coalition of Canada complained that the federal government was funding pro-life groups through such mechanisms as CSJ. The federal government publicly responded by saying that it will not longer fund anti-abortion groups. In order to prevent funding, last year the Canadian government chose to only hand out the CSJ grants to ridings that had Liberal MPs who could make sure the money only went to pro-abortion groups. Apparently, Liberal MPs are not allowed to think abortion is wrong. However, three pro-life groups who did not receive funding last …

Abortion survivor tells her story of forgiving her mother, father and even her grandmother

On August 24, 1977, Melissa Ohden’s mother, 19, went to Saint Luke’s hospital in Sioux City, Iowa for the first step in her saline abortion that takes five days to complete. She was eight months pregnant and on August 29, 1977 she delivered her child. Her mother, who worked as an educational nurse at the hospital and was in the room as the abortion took place, had coerced her daughter into having the abortion. But unknown to her mother, Melissa was born alive and the staff left her to die in a pile of medical waste. But a while later when another nurse entered the room she heard a faint whimpering and rustling and discovered Melissa still alive. The nurse rushed Melissa to emergency and after a three-month stint in the hospital she was adopted by a Catholic family, Ron and Linda Ohden, who lived in Sioux Falls. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Melissa, 40, shared her incredible story of forgiveness as she spent 17 years trying to track down her parents. Initially …

Study suggests babies feel pain in the womb in first trimester

A recent study published in the journal Cell has provided evidence that babies feel pain in the womb sooner than many in the pro-abortion camp want us to believe. In recent years, several reports mostly by specialists doing procedures on preemies or the unborn concluded that babies feel pain in the womb. For decades, most did not believe this was possible. This most recent study published at the end of March confirmed what others are saying. But this study differed in one important way from earlier reports. It didn’t analyze a baby’s reaction to pain but rather looked at nerve development and concluded that a baby’s nervous system is fully formed by the end of the first trimester (12 weeks). The study described the development as an “adult-like pattern of skin innervation” and added that the baby developed it earlier than previously thought. Despite their findings, the researchers were quick to add that this did not necessarily suggest a baby feels pain in the womb. The theory that babies did not feel pain in the …
