Study reveals that two-thirds of women struggle emotionally and mentally after having an abortion

A recent study has found that a significant percentage of women struggle both emotionally and mentally after having an abortion, the Christian Post (CP) reports. The study entitled, “The Effects of Abortion Decision Rightness and Decision Type on Women’s Satisfaction and Mental Health,” published by the Charlotte Lozier Institute contradicts the Turnaway Study which stated that 90% of women were happy with their abortion. This second study conducted by David C. Reardon, Katherine A. Rafferty and Tessa Longbons looked at 226 women between the ages of 41 and 45 who had previously had an abortion. The study noted that their level of satisfaction with their decision was largely dependent on whether the woman wanted the abortion in the first place or if she felt pressured into it by external circumstances. “Of 226 women reporting a history of abortion, 33% identified it as wanted, 43% as accepted but inconsistent with their values and preferences, and 24% as unwanted or coerced. Only wanted abortions were associated with positive emotions or mental health gains,” the study wrote. The …

California’s government can’t force churches to provide abortion coverage Federal court rules

When the State of California decided to force churches to provide abortion coverage for their employees, four churches successfully fought back against this infringement on their religious freedom guaranteed under the First Amendment. Two federal courts have consequently ruled that the government can’t force churches to provide abortions and required the state to cover $1.4 million in attorney fees for the victorious churches. In both cases, the churches were represented by Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF). The first case involved Skyline Wesleyan Church in San Diego and in the second case ADF successfully represented three churches, Calvary Chapel Chino Hills in Chino, The Shepherd of the Hills Church in Porter Ranch and Foothill Church in Glendora. In its news release, ADF Senior Counsel Jeremiah Galus said, “The government can’t force a church or any other religious employer to violate their faith and conscience by participating in funding abortion.” But there was more going on here than just that. “For years, California officials, in collaboration with Planned Parenthood, have unconstitutionally targeted faith-based organizations,” Galus added. “This is …

Catholic students wearing pro-life caps were kicked out of the Smithsonian?

The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C has allegedly kicked out a group of Catholic high school students because they were wearing hats with a pro-life message, The Blaze reports. The students, who attend a Catholic school in Greenville County, South Carolina, were in the city for the annual March for Life held on Jan 20, 2023, and decided to visit the museum. Shortly after entering they were approached by a security guard and told to leave because the museum was a ‘neutral zone.’ The parents allege it was due to the tuques the students were wearing. In an interview with WYFF-TV, Nora Kriegel, one of the parents of the children involved, said: “They should be allowed to wear the hats that they were wearing and to be able to express themselves. And I felt it was very wrong that this person harassed them.“ American Center of Law and Justice immediately stepped up to represent the students. The Smithsonian has since apologized after hearing about the incident and added that steps were …

Pro-life protestor found not guilty by a jury of his peers

A pro-life dad who was arrested at gunpoint by the FBI has been found not guilty by a jury of his peers, The Blaze reports. The Federal Justice Department had charged Mark Houck, 48, under the FACE act with trying to “injure, intimidate and interfere” with an individual who was working for a Planned Parenthood clinic. The Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act makes it illegal to interfere, intimidate or injure anyone seeking an abortion. The charge arose after Houck pushed a 72-year-old man who was volunteering to escort people into the Planned Parenthood Elizabeth Blackwell Health Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in October 2021. Houck admitted shoving the man, but said it had nothing to do with the man’s volunteer work with the clinic, but because the man had been harassing Houck’s 12-year-old son. If found guilty under the FACE Act, Houck faced a potential 11-year sentence and a $350,000 fine. Many believe the case was brought forth by the Federal Justice Department simply to intimidate pro-lifers and other people of faith. Houck …

Statue described by some as satanic pays homage to abortion on top of New York courthouse

A new horned female statue, called Now, with tentacles for arms, has been temporarily set up on the roof of a New York state courthouse in New York City alongside the statues of historical figures. Across the street, a sister 18′ statue entitled Witness has been set up in Madison Square Park. The statues are the work of a Pakistani-American artist, Shahzia Sikander and will remain on the site until June when they will be transferred to a location in Houston, Texas. The Blaze described the statue appearing on the roof of New York State’s Supreme Court alongside ancient historical lawgivers, such as Moses, as: “An eight-foot sculpture of a horned female fused to a lotus flower with what appear to be tentacles has been erected above a state courthouse in New York City. The statue joins nine others portraying historical lawgivers, each representing the world’s purportedly great legal systems.” Sikander added that her inspiration was her opposition to the recent overturning of Roe vs Wade, by the US Supreme Court. She dedicated the eight-foot …

A woman that Newsom depicted in an ad as being sad over Roe vs Wade ruling was actually jubilant because she is pro-life

When California Governor Gavin Newsom decided to run a pro-abortion ad, he used an image of a woman crying outside the US Supreme Court to depict the sadness and panic women were feeling because of the overturning of Roe vs Wade, The Blaze reports. However, maybe he should have checked with the woman first before including her image because her name was Macy Petty, a Lee University student and pro-life activist. In response, Petty tweeted “Panic? Sad? Try ecstatic, blown away by God’s grace on this country” and posted her response to both the Governor’s official and personal Twitter accounts. On her Instagram account, Petty went further and accused Newsom of trying to put his words in her mouth: “California governor Gavin Newsom has used my image in one of his political ads in yet another attempt to show his support for women. He and pro abortion Democrats have one again shown Americans that they care little for my voice as a woman.” She also asked Newsom to take down the ad or remove her …

Mom meets the son she saved after changing her mind while lying on the abortion table

CBN recently had a story about Melissa Coles, who in 1993 changed her mind about having an abortion while laying on the table and eventually met her son, whose life she spared. Coles, 18, was poor and unmarried made the decision as the doctor’s hand touched her leg to start the procedure. She blurted out ‘I can’t do this’ and the doctor rolling his eyes stopped. Unaware of what to do next, she later found out that adoption was an option. The story exposes the oldest lie in the abortion handbook, that the child is unwanted. The baby may not be wanted by the mother, for a variety of reasons, but there are thousands of families desperate for a child. In Coles’ case, it ended up being a Christian woman, who had given birth to two children who later died because of their disabilities. Coles gave birth to a baby boy in December 1993, who was named David James. Eighteen years later, Cole had a chance to meet the son she had given up for …

Former Pussycat Dolls pop star, Kaya Jones, shares her journey to forgiveness

In an interview with Christine Yeargin, as part of Students for Life podcasts, former Pussycat Dolls pop star, Kaya Jones, 38, shared her journey to Christ that included leaving the popular girl’s group in 2004, CBN reports. At times, Jones felt like a prostitute, as a member of the popular girl band, because she had sold herself to a dream and popularity. She felt manipulated, controlled and at times as little more than an ‘owned commodity.’ Her journey included three abortions. The first took place when she was 16 and the second as a member of the band, when she was told to get an abortion. The third happened after she was raped at the age of 30. But it was a moment during one of her concerts that really spoke to her. Jones, who was in the process of having the second abortion, saw two young girls in the audience. “When you are doing things that are really incorrect and your body is up for grabs, this is where we have to take a …

Will the Biden administration be targeting Christian universities and colleges?

Bob Eitel, president of the Defense of Freedom Institute and a former senior counselor to the secretary of Education, is warning the Biden administration may soon be targeting Christian universities and colleges, the Washington Examiner reports. Eitel raised this concern after the Biden administration announced plans to revisit regulations that impact accreditation and student loans for schools of higher learning. In 2020 then President Donald Trump instituted several changes that allowed Christian schools to function freely according to their faith. This prevented regulators from forcing religious institutions to compromise their values on non-academic issues such as abortion to maintain their eligibility for accreditation and student loan eligibility. “That the Biden Education Department would take it upon themselves to undo that consensus doesn’t make any sense,” Eitel said in his interview with the Washington Examiner. “[And] given some of the anti-faith postures taken by the department in the Biden administration on issues of religion and faith and culture, anybody who attends a faith-based institution should be very concerned about what the department might do.” In an …

For the fourth year in a row, abortion is the world’s leading cause of death

According to Worldometer, a website that tracks a variety of statistics in real time, for the fourth year in a row, abortion is the leading cause of death in the world, the Christian Post (CP) reports. According to Worldometer, there were over 44 million abortions in 2022. Coming in second was communicable diseases which resulted in 13 million deaths, cancer which caused 8 million deaths, smoking which was blamed for 5 million, alcohol which resulted in 2.5 million deaths and AIDS which is blamed for 2 million deaths. Though deaths due to COVID were included in the communicable disease category, on its own it only accounted for 1.2 million deaths in 2022. It barely beat out deaths from automobile accidents at over just one million and one million deaths due to suicide. But CP noted that there is some disagreement on the total number of abortions performed in 2022. The World Health Organization (WHO), which ironically considers abortion an essential health service, puts the number at closer to 73 million. READ: Abortion is leading cause …

UK thought police arrested woman for praying in her head

CBN reports that UK’s thought police have arrested a woman for praying in her head near an abortion clinic in Birmingham, UK. The city has created a perimeter around abortion clinics, called a censorship zone, where people can not show their approval or disapproval of abortions and this includes praying and counselling Vaughan-Spruce, who is the director of UK March for Life, was standing silently near an abortion clinic in the city. She was not carrying anything like a sign that would indicate she was protesting against the clinic. But someone had complained to police that they believed Vaughan-Spruce was silently praying in her head within the zone. The police approached Vaughn-Spruce and asked if she was praying in her head. She was immediately arrested after telling police she might be. The Alliance Defending Freedom UK (ADFUK) is representing Vaughn-Spruce in the court case over illegal thoughts. Speaking on behalf of ADFUK, Jeremiah Igunnubole said: “Isabel’s experience should be deeply concerning to all those who believe that our hard-fought fundamental rights are worth protecting. It …

Parish priest claims church targeted by Satanists

The vicar of a church in Bramshaw, England claims his church is being targeted by Satanists, the Daily Mail reports. Reverend David Bacon of St Peter’s Church made this statement after members of his congregation, who had come to the church to decorate it for Christmas, found a cat hanging from the church’s flagpole. Reverend Bacon described it as being horribly hanged. A few weeks earlier, a fox was found dead on the doorsteps of the church built in the 12th century, and it is highly unlikely it died from natural causes. The vicar’s claim has some recent history supporting this belief. In 2019, several dead sheep were found around the village with satanic pentagrams spray-painted on their dead bodies. In one instance, an upside-down cross was found laying against a dead sheep that had been stabbed with a spear. Inverted crosses are a common satanic symbol. That same year, St Peter’s church also had occultic symbols sprayed on its outside wall. READ: Vicar of church targeted by ‘Satanists’ who ‘stabbed sheep and sprayed them …

Death threats against Christians in America

PJ Media reports that a Newman Center, based at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, received a note threatening violence if it hosted an event with a pro-life group called Students for Life. Newman Centers, operated by Roman Catholic students, provide support for Catholic students attending universities across America. The threat purported to be from the radical pro-abortion group, Janes Revenge, actually threatened violence with AR14 rifles, KETV reports. A letter, posted on the door where the meeting was to be held, read: Dear Dan Andrews, If our right to abortion in Bellevue is taken away due to the attempt to pass an abortion ban and it gets passed we will shoot up your Newman center with our new AR14 rifles. Sincerely, Jane’s Revenge READ: ‘Janes Revenge’ Abortion Zealots Threaten to ‘Shoot Up’ Catholic Newman Center With ‘New AR14 Rifles’ AND Omaha, Douglas County authorities investigating threat of violence to Newman Center AND Catholic Student Center in Nebraska Receives Shooting Threat, Signed ‘Jane’s Revenge’ Though a spokesperson for the Newman Center said they refused to be intimidated …

Video: Pro-life sign fights back and keeps standing

A man was walking past the Church of the Resurrection School in Lansing, Michigan, which had a pro-life sign opposing Michigan’s pro-abortion bill, Proposal 3. Seeing the sign, the man veered towards it and gives it a good kick, sending it flying into the air. Expecting, he had knocked it down, the man continued walking oblivious to what actually happened. In an incredible athletic move, the sign manages to keep standing. Proposal 3, being voted on in a state-wide referendum vote on Nov 8, would protect abortions in that state after the Roe vs Wade ruling. However, pro-life opponents state the proposal would actually expand abortion. According to a statement on Michigan Catholic College website: “It [Proposal 3] would allow abortions to be performed by anyone, at any point in pregnancy, and for any reason. It would throw away state laws regulating quality, safety, and inspections for abortion clinics. It would remove parental consent requirement for teens seeking abortions, and also teens seeking gender reassignment surgeries.” “This amendment would take Michigan far beyond what was …

British Left-wing politicians calling for jail time for praying near abortion clinics

Left-wing politicians in Britain are demanding jail time for Christians who recite Bible verses or pray near abortion clinics in that country. Under current legislation, Christians who do this currently can face fines, there is push to also include a six-month jail time as part of the penalty. Breitbart explains: Christians who are caught “praying”, “reciting scripture”, or “crossing themselves” near an abortion centre could be sentenced to up to six months in jail in the United Kingdom. British officials are pushing to have Christians who practice their faith too close to abortion centres jailed under revamped crackdown rules aimed at curbing protests against the practice. Under current legislation, it can already be an offence to “audibly pray” within so-called “Safe Zones” established around some abortion centres, with those running afoul of the rules liable for a fine of up to £1,000 (~$1,100). She changed her mind about the abortion, but the doctor refused to stop

The Daily Wire recently reported on the horrific details of an abortion, that Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), had when she was a teen. In an interview with PBS, Bush said that before the procedure started, Bush had changed her mind and told the abortion staff several times that she no longer wanted the abortion, stating that she wasn’t ready. However, Bush alleges that the nurses and doctor refused to listen to her request and conducted the abortion anyway. It was Bush’s second abortion. Did Democrat Senator issue a call to arms against the pro-life movement?

Some are accusing Hawaii’s Democrat Senator, Mazie Hirono, of issuing a call for violence against pro-life groups in a speech in the US Senate on Wednesday, Sept 14, 2022. The Blaze provides the details: Democratic Sen. Mazie Hirono of Hawaii said she was issuing “literally a call to arms” against the pro-life movement in a speech on the Senate floor Wednesday. “When I hear my colleagues talking about how, you know, it should be states’ rights, or government should not be telling us what to do, the word ‘hypocrites,’ it doesn’t even go far enough to call them out on what they’re doing,” said Hirono during her speech. “This is an outright attack on women in this country. That is how I see it.” […] Hirono ended her speech with the odd call to arms. “Madam president, I yield the floor, but clearly, you know, this is a — literally call to arms in our country, I yield the floor,” she concluded. Uncivilized

By Rick Renner

The material I am about to present concerns a subject that I normally wouldn’t write about. However, it provides a powerful illustration of the depravity Paul prophesied would occur during the last days (see 2 Timothy 3:2,3), and I believe it serves as a wakeup call to the Church. Sometimes we need a stark reminder of the rapid degeneration of society’s moral fabric that is occurring all around us at an ever-increasing rate so we don’t grow complacent and just “go with the flow” of society’s downward moral spiral. As the Church, we have a vital role to play in these perilous times as standard bearers of truth. So bear with me as I take on that role to share some disturbing but important information, and you will understand my point.

Former pro-life flight attendant successfully wins lawsuit over firing

A jury has awarded, former Southwest Airlines flight attendant, Charlene Carter, $4.5 million from the airline, which Carter alleges had fired her because of pro-life beliefs. She also won $950,000 in punitive damages from Local 556 of the Transport Workers Union. When Carter started working for Southwest Airlines in 1996, she had to join the union. In 2013, she quit her union membership because it was supporting activities, such as abortion, that violated her beliefs as a Christian. It was also using Carter’s union dues to support political causes that Carter did not support. Though no longer a member, as part of her employment with Southwest, Carter was still required to pay union dues. The problem started in 2017 when Carter found out that several members of the union, including its president, Audrey Stone, were attending a woman’s march in Washington, DC, that was sponsored by several pro-abortion groups. Seeing her union dues being used in such a manner, Carter posted comments on social media indicating her pro-life position and as well criticizing Stone and …

Here is a brief round-up of some Christian news this past week: Christ Pratt talks about religion Hollywood actor Chris Pratt found himself in a bit of controversy this past week, when in an interview with Men’s Health, Pratt said that he was not religious, but added that he had a relationship with God. “I think there’s a distinction between being religious — adhering to the customs created by man, oftentimes appropriating the awe reserved for who I believe is a very real God — and using it to control people, to take money from people, to abuse children, to steal land, to justify hatred. Whatever it is,” Pratt explained. When asked if he attended Hillsong, which has found itself in a pile of controversy recently, Pratt said he attended Zoe Church in Los Angeles. Some lessons on spiritual warfare

Since the US Supreme Court overturned Roe vs Wade and returned the authority for abortions to state legislatures, there have been dozens of reactions by pro-abortionists that included throwing Molotov cocktails at pro-life centers. READ: Wisconsin anti-abortion group targeted in Molotov cocktail arson attack: police But perhaps the most revealing involved a group of Satanists and witches who launched spiritual attacks against a group of believers who had gathered to pray for peace across America outside the US Supreme Court after the ruling. These attacks included summoning demonic forces to come against those who were praying. Mike Staver, the CEO of Liberty Counsel, a Christian legal nonprofit that was actually a part of the court case that saw Roe vs Wade overturned, described the scene. “Black-robed men and women began arriving on the scene, screaming obscenities over the prayers,” Staver reported. “A pro-abortion demonstrator brought a wagon carrying a large boom box blaring satanic ‘music’ and noise. A woman walked right up to our podium and stood next to the pro-life speaker.” “Every time the pro-lifer spoke, …

REJECTION

One of the most difficult challenges a person can experience is rejection and in a recent article in The Epoch Times, Dawn Milberger, 55, shared her story. Dawn had been adopted into a Christian family, and it wasn’t until she was 18 that she discovered the full story of what had happened, when she finally tracked down her birth mother. It was then she discovered that her mother, with the aid of a nursing friend, tried to abort Dawn several times in the first seven months of pregnancy, before eventually giving birth. Her mother’s friend provided abortion-inducing drugs that she stole from the office where she worked. After telling the story, her birth mom pleaded for Dawn to forgive her. This was the ultimate form of rejection and for the next several months, Dawn struggled as anger began building in her heart over the rejection. But with the help of her adoptive parents, Dawn worked through her emotions to forgive her mother. “He can’t build on us if we have unforgiveness on us. Unforgiveness cannot …

Jane’s Revenge threatens more violence against pro-life groups

In a recent communiqué, the extremist pro-abortion group, Jane’s Revenge, is threatening more violence against pro-life groups, The Blaze reports. The Blaze provides more details about the threat: Days after a man was arrested outside U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s home for allegedly planning to kill the justice, the pro-abortion anarchist group Jane’s Revenge published a new “communiqué” threatening pro-life organizations with a campaign of violence if they do not cease their operations. “Your thirty days expired yesterday. We offered an honourable way out. You could have walked away. Now the leash is off. And we will make it as hard as possible for your campaign of oppression to continue,” Jane’s Revenge states. “We have demonstrated in the past month how easy and fun it is to attack. Rest assured that we will, and those measures may not come in the form of something so easily cleaned up as fire …
