World Economic Forum: World elite complaining they ‘no longer own the news’
At the recent World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting held in Davos, Switzerland in January 2024, the world elite complained that they ‘no longer own the news’ like they once did. Yes, they actually said that. The disturbing news was delivered to the WEF elite by Emma Tucker, the editor-in-chief of the Wall Street Journal. “If it said it in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, then that was a fact,” Tucker said, speaking of the good old days. “Nowadays, people can go to all sorts of different sources for the news, and they’re much more questioning about what we’re saying.” People’s trust in the mainstream media is so low that over half of those polled believe the legacy media is purposefully misleading them. Increasingly, people are turning to independent news sources for their information.
