I am a big Star Trek fan, and one of my favorite villains was the Borg who assimilated whole nations, turning them into armies of mindless drones.
When the Borg approached a spaceship that they were about to assimilate, one of my favorite lines in their opening speel was “You must comply, resistance is futile.”
