American’s confidence is US president Joe Biden’s administration continues its downward spiral. According to a recent CIVIQS poll, 68% of Americans believe the US is headed in the wrong direction, this is up 6%, from the 62% of Americans who believed the same thing in January 2023, Breitbart reports The sharp decline in confidence in the Biden administration since January 2023 has been blamed on the bank crisis and the recent indictment of former US president Donald Trump by New York’s left-wing AG. Increased interest in spirituality brings opportunity and danger, surveys find

According to a survey conducted by Barna, there is a potential for a great spiritual awakening among Americans, as they appear to be more open to spiritual things since the pandemic. The survey found that 74% of Americans stated that they were interested in ‘growing spiritually’ and 44% added that they are more open to God than they were before the COVID pandemic, Christian Headlines reports. The survey also found that 77% believed there was a ‘higher power’ or God and only 9% did not believe this. Barna CEO David Kinnaman said that while attendance at churches has declined since the pandemic, the survey revealed this growing interest in spiritual things provided a “tremendous opportunity for faith leaders.” “Across every generation, in fact, we see an unprecedented desire to grow spiritually, a belief in a spiritual/supernatural dimension and a belief in God or a higher power” Kinnaman added. He noted that this interest is even showing up among teens where 76% said that “Jesus speaks to me in a way that is relevant to my …

Poll: American’s fear of crime reaches five-decade high

According to a recent Gallup Poll, American’s concern about crime has reached a five-decade high, the Daily Mail reports: “Americans’ fears of rising crime levels have hit a five-decade high, with 56 percent now saying there is more crime in their area than a year ago, according to polling released by Gallup on Friday.” “This past year has seen a five-percentage-point increase in the number of adults saying crime was getting worse in their neighborhood — the highest level seen since Gallup started asking that question in 1972. “The survey measures perceptions, rather than overall crime levels, which ticked up during the Covid-19 pandemic and after racial protests over the police killing of George Floyd, but appear to be levelling.“ READ: Americans’ fears of rising crime have hit a FIVE-DECADE high, with 56% decrying an uptick in their own neighborhoods, and growing alarm over muggings, carjackings, home invasions and school attacks, says poll RELATED: Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul attacked in San Francisco home by intruder shouting ‘where is Nancy?’: source RELATED: San Francisco defunded the …

64% of Americans blame ‘woke’ politicians for America’s rising crime rate

A recent Harvard/Harris poll found a significant majority of Americans (64%) blame ‘woke’ politicians for the crime wave sweeping America, Breitbart reports. The poll revealed that even a majority (albeit slim) of Democrats (52%) feel the same. Breitbart provides more details: “The latest Harvard/Harris Poll shows that 64 percent of voters say woke politicians are responsible for an increase in crime across American communities, while only 36 percent blame ‘other factors.’” “Across political parties, a majority of voters blame woke politicians for rising crime. Among Democrats, for instance, 52 percent said woke politicians are responsible for the crime surge, while 75 percent of Republicans and 60 percent of swing voters said the same. “Likewise, the overwhelming majority of voters said crime is on the rise where they live, while small minorities believe it is dropping. About 2 out of 3 voters said crime is increasing — including 55 percent of Democrats, 81 percent of Republicans, and 60 percent of swing voters.“ READ: Poll: 64% of Voters Blame ‘Woke Politicians’ for Crime Wave Across U.S. RELATED: …

It wasn’t the answer the NY Times was looking for when it asked who was the biggest threat to democracy

I am sure it wasn’t the answer that the New York Times was looking for when it conducted a survey to find out who registered voters considered to be the biggest threat to democracy. I suspect the NY Times was wanting the answer to be former President Donald Trump, but instead, Americans said that the mainstream media are the biggest threat to democracy. Fox News reports: Stunning data from a New York Times/Siena poll find the majority of registered voters believe the media is a “threat” to democracy.  The poll details released Tuesday showed that a whopping 71% of the 792 registered voters questioned say “American democracy is currently under threat.” Among those who fear for democracy, 84% of them, or roughly 60% of all registered voters, view “mainstream media” as some sort of threat. A majority, 59%, call the media a “major threat to democracy” while an additional 25% call it a “minor threat to democracy.” Only 15% who say democracy is under threat do not blame the media. Poll: Teens more open to Christ than many realize

A recent poll conducted by the Barna Group discovered that a significant percentage of teens around the world have a favorable impression of Jesus, Premier Christian News reports. Barna, a national American-based research group, conducted the survey of 25,000, 13 to 17 years olds in 26 countries, on behalf of several Christian groups, including Alpha, Biblical and World Vision. It was a surprising result considering that only 22% of those surveyed expressed having made a personal commitment to Christ. This meant that though 78% may not have been Christians, many still looked upon Christ positively: Based on these survey results, it’s obvious that Jesus needs to be front a center in all our ministry activities. “Our data suggests that although this generation may not deeply engage with Jesus,” David Kinnaman, CEO of Barna Group said. “They are open to him, and when they do engage, they experience positive effects. It is our goal to offer a picture of the rising generation to the Global Church so that we may support and engage teens in relevant, …

Are Canadians tiring of their ‘divisive’ Prime Minister?

A recent online poll conducted in June by Postmedia-Léger suggests that Canadians are tiring of their Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, the National Post reports. A clear majority of Canadians, over 60%, said Trudeau was divisive, and is contributing to growing national unity issues in Canada as he pits parts of the country against other regions. The poll also found that 55% of Canadians strongly or somewhat disapprove of Trudeau’s performance. This sentiment was the same in all political parties. Meanwhile, only 7% strongly approved of Trudeau’s performance. Nearly half (49%) believe that Trudeau should resign as leader of the Liberal party before the next federal election. Only 30% believe he should continue as its leader and 21% weren’t sure. READ: Canadians disapprove of Justin Trudeau’s job as prime minister and feel he is divisive, national opinion survey says In the last federal election, held in August 2021, only 32.6% of Canadians voted for Trudeau and the Liberal Party. This means nearly 68% rejected him as Prime Minister. However, Trudeau’s minority government was able to secure …

Poll reveals growing intolerance to Christianity in America

Jesus warned His disciples that they would face times of trouble (John 16:33), and the Lord purposefully did this, so they could prepare their hearts beforehand on how they would deal with it. And then the Lord added in the midst of it, they could still find peace in Christ because He had conquered the world. It is advice that we need to heed today, as we are witnessing an increasing intolerance to Christianity in America, confirmed in a recent poll conducted by Lifeway in the first two weeks of September 2021. The poll found that 59% of Americans believe that there is an increasing intolerance to Christianity, and of those, 24% strongly agreed. For the remainder, only 32% said there wasn’t, while 18% said they weren’t sure. Of course, it was most noticed by those who are on the receiving end of this intolerance, as those with a Christian affiliation, 69% of Protestants and 59% of Catholics, believed this intolerance was growing. It was particularly noticed by those who have greater respect for the …

Poll: Huge majority of Americans believe the US headed in the wrong direction

A recent poll, conducted by the New York Times (NYT), revealed that the vast majority of Americans, and this includes Democrats, believe the US is headed in the wrong direction under President Joe Biden, the Daily Caller reports. The NYT reports that overall, only 13% of Americans believe the country is headed in the right direction. And for those who voted Democrat, only 27% believe the US is heading in the right direction. The Daily Caller provides more details: The results are the lowest uncovered by New York Times (NYT) polling since the 2008 Great Recession, according to the outlet. Only 27% of Democrats believe that the country is going in the right direction, along with 5% of Republicans, the NYT found. Americans are technically more pessimistic about the future of the nation than during the height of the COVID-19 lockdowns and shortly after the events of Jan. 6, one Twitter user noted. Previous polls typically find that voters aligned with the party in power are more “upbeat,” but this is no longer the case, …

Poll: Over 25% of Canadians support jailing the unvaccinated

A recent poll of Canadians conducted by Maru Public Opinion found that over a quarter of Canadians, 27%, believed that people not vaccinated for COVID should be subject to short jail terms. According to the National Post, the poll conducted between Jan. 14-15, 2022 also found: 37% believe the unvaccinated should not receive medical care from the country’s state-run health care system, even though their tax dollars help fund it. 33% of respondents believed the unvaccinated should be punished by not allowing them to renew their driver’s license. 61% said that the unvaccinated should be required to pay a health surcharge of upwards of $150 a month if admitted to hospital for COVID. Two-thirds of Canadians believed that COVID vaccines should be mandatory. Under the Canadian constitution, health care is a provincial issue, meaning only provincial governments could mandate vaccines. READ: More than one in four Canadians support jail time for the unvaccinated, poll finds Many of the Canadians are simply mimicking the feelings expressed by the country’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau.

Poll: Majority don’t believe unvaccinated people should lose their jobs

With US President Joe Biden recently stating that he doesn’t believe the COVID restrictions will end until 98% of Americans are vaccinated and politicians and health officials looking for creative ways to punish people who aren’t, a recent survey by the Trafalagar Group suggests that the majority of Americans (65%) do not believe a person should lose their job if they are unvaccinated.

Mile-wide Christians

A recent poll conducted by the Cultural Research Center of Arizona Christian University headed by George Barna uncovered some questionable beliefs about those who self-identify as Christians in America. In the poll, about 69% of Americans (176 million) self-identified as Christian. And though that number seem impressive, it falls inline with that old saying of being a mile wide, but only one inch deep. The poll revealed that self-identification does not necessarily refer to a Biblical definition of Christianity. They are Christian only in the sense that they grew up in what could loosely be described as a Christian home. They don’t regularly attend religious services, but if they did, it would be a Christian one. So in that sense they follow the Christian tradition, more than they follow Christian beliefs. And this showed up, as the poll exposed the actual beliefs of these self-identifying Christians: For example, 72% of self-identified Christians believe that everyone is basically good. And this almost perfectly corresponds with their response to the another question, where only 34% said that …

Poll: Americans overwhelming prefer offensive free speech over censorship

According to a recent survey of Americans by Rasmussen, 80% of people who vote want free speech and only 9% of those wanted governments to determine what speech is allowed or not. The pollster noted that people overwhelmingly preferred offensive and even inaccurate speech over censorship The pollster also discovered that the support for free speech was wide ranging with at least 70% supporting free speech in all age groups and demographics. The pollster company added that 59% of Americans consider governments and politicians as a special interest group more interested in fulfilling their personal agendas than doing what is best for America. According to Scott Rasmussen, only “34% believe the federal government today supports the founding ideals of freedom, equality and self-governance.” READ: Poll: 4 in 5 Americans prefer offensive, inaccurate speech over censorship AND 80% SAY ALLOWING OFFENSIVE, INACCURATE FREE SPEECH BETTER THAN GIVING GOVERNMENT POWER TO DECIDE The poll starkly reveals the tyranny of the minority, a group of woke elitists, concentrated in the mainstream media, social media and political positions are …

Growing support of civil disobedience for church services: Poll

According to a recent poll conducted by Public Religion Research Institute, and Ryan Burge, an Eastern Illinois University professor, there is a growing support for churches to defy the COVID-1984 lockdowns and start holding church services. But here is what is really bizarre. The poll showed that while over 60% of Americans were fine with church’s defying COVID0-1984 lockdowns, only 34% of church attenders supported such acts of civil disobedience.
