According to the latest stats, Canadians trust the mainstream media even less than politicians and lawyers.
Blacklock’s Reporter [behind paywall] writes :
“Only a third of Canadians rate news media trustworthy and balanced, says in-house CRTC [federal government department] research. The latest data follow Statistics Canada figures showing reporters are considered less reliable than politicians or lawyers: ‘Canada is facing not one news crisis but two. One is financial and the other is the crisis of mistrust.‘”
This shouldn’t be all that shocking because everyone knows and expects politicians to be biased. However, the mainstream media still likes to pretend it isn’t. Obviously, most Canadians are seeing through that facade.
