It has been a busy religious week. Not only did God show up on The Voice, it also featured failed witches’ curses, Temple reenactments in Jerusalem, worried Hollywood elites and Presidential candidate, Kamala Harris threatening to force Christian doctors and Christian hospitals to conduct abortions.

Witches complain their curses against Trump aren’t working

In an interesting thread found on the popular website, Reddit, several self-proclaimed witches complained that the curses and spells that they are uttering against Presidential candidate, Donald Trump, are not working, Charisma News reports.

In one of the posts, an individual suggested that there is “some kind of protection around” Trump. Many believe that this protection is due to the prayers being made on behalf of the former president.

Though we are told in Colossians 2:15 that Christ “disarmed the rulers and authorities,” as believers we need to enforce this victory through prayer.

Hollywood terrified their sins will be revealed, Russell Brand says

While acknowledging his own sinful past, British comedian and podcaster, Russell Brand recently posted a video on X where he stated that Hollywood celebrities are “terrified” of their sins being exposed, Christian Post reports.

Everywhere in the world, you get the idea that people are sort of pretending to be better than they are. People are terrified of being exposed,” Brand added. “Look at the stuff that’s going on in Hollywood at the moment. There’s a sense that there’s all of this darkness that’s going to be revealed.

Over the past several months, Brand has revealed his journey of faith as he made the decision to believe in Jesus for his salvation.

That is the way that we will know Christ, through our brokenness,” Brand said. “We don’t have to be pretending that you’re something that you’re not. You don’t have to be concealing anything about yourself, because what you are is beautiful.

Brand added that he has come to grips with his past life by recognizing what Jesus did for him on the cross.

He then quoted the words of the Apostle Paul, who wrote “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason, I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners,” (1 Timothy 1:15).

Special Temple reenactment ceremony takes place in Jerusalem

With the assistance of the Temple Institute, a reenactment of the water libation ceremony performed at the Jewish Temple during the Sukkot festival (Feast of Tabernacles) was recently held in Jerusalem, Israel36 News reports.

During the ceremony Kohanim priests dressed in their priestly garb and similarly dressed Levites playing musical instruments, guitars, drums, trumpets and flutes, led a procession down from the Temple Mount to the Siloam springs.

As they make this journey on foot, people were dancing and singing. The procession stopped four times, to allow the Levites to blast their trumpets.

Water from the spring was then put in a specially designed gold plated and silver vessel and carried back to the Western Wall which borders the Temple Mount. The water was then poured out before a model altar that had been set up at the site.

Though this ceremony is not mentioned in the Bible, it has been part of the Jewish oral tradition for centuries.

The primary goal of the Temple Institute is to see the construction of a third Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. As part of its mandate, it has already constructed most of the furniture and utensils necessary for a functioning temple. It is also training priest to perform the sacrifices, if and when the temple is built.

While many Christians believe that the construction of a third Jewish Temple is necessary for the fulfillment of End Times prophecy, I am not convinced it is.

93 | Did Jesus curse the temple? If so what does that mean for end times prophecy?

Kamala Harris opposes religious exemptions for abortion

In a recent interview on NBC, Democrat presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, shocked the religious world when she said there would be no religious exemptions for abortions, if she is elected President, Todd Starnes reports.

This means, that Harris would not only force Christian doctors and nurses to carry out abortions, but would require Christian hospitals and organizations to provide abortions in violation of their religious beliefs.

Though the US Constitution might have something to say about this, the statement reveals where Harris stands on religious liberty.

God was in the building

After a recent audition on The Voice, famed American rapper and singer, Snoop Dogg, said God was in the building, Premier Christian News reports.

He was responding to performance by Lauren-Michael Sellers who sang a Hillsong United worship song, Oceans (where feet may fail), during her blind audition that saw all four judges turn their chairs.

Though Snoop Dogg was one of the last to turn, he stated, “While you were singing, I saw Gwen light up, as if God was coming in the building, and I didn’t want to be left out when he came.”

As Sellers started singing, judge Gwen Stefani quipped, “I love this song so much.”

Because of her country roots, Sellers, who is from Birmingham, Alabama, chose Reba McEntire as her coach. The fourth coach was Michael Bublé.
