Elon Musk recently purchased Twitter with plans to return free speech to the once heavily censored anti-conservative social media platform.
But Musk is now reporting that activist groups are fighting back and organizing a campaign to have corporations stop advertising on Twitter.
Musk reports that there has already been a significant drop in revenue.
The Post Millennial provides more details:
Twitter owner Elon Musk says that his newly purchased website Twitter has seen a “massive drop” in revenue due to activist groups pressuring Twitter, despite nothing having changed in content moderation.
Musk tweeted on Friday, “Twitter has had a massive drop in revenue, due to activist groups pressuring advertisers, even though nothing has changed with content moderation and we did everything we could to appease the activists. Extremely messed up! They’re trying to destroy free speech in America.”
Some major corporations that have allegedly already stopped advertising on Twitter, include General Mills, Audi, Pfizer, and Volkswagen.
