Remember a few years back, rabid environmentalists were telling the world that global warming was killing off Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.

Apparently, the Great Barrier Reef is roaring back, the Australian Institute of Marine Sciences (AIMS) reports. In fact, it is in the best shape it’s been in 36 years.

Breitbart explains:

Australia’s Great Barrier Reef is doing just fine with vast sections defying every forecast of impending doom made by climate catastrophists over the past 30 years, a report Thursday outlines.

Coral cover on two-thirds of the iconic reef, which is seen as a bellwether of ocean health, has reached its highest level since records began 36 years ago, according to marine scientists monitoring the ecosystem.

In defiance of the Global warming propaganda, the AMS described the reef as healthy and flourishing, but keeping with the global warming propaganda added that the prognosis for the coral reef was still “‘very poor’ due to ‘climate change.'”

“This echoes news outlets like the Washington Post which in 2017 published a piece that outlined, “An ecological catastrophe is unfolding off Australia’s coast: Humans are killing the Great Barrier Reef, one of the world’s greatest natural wonders, and there’s nothing Australians on their own can do about it. We are all responsible,” Simon Kent notes in his Breitbart article.
