A poll released by Fannie Mae revealed that in March 2022 nearly three-quarters of Americans (73%) stated that the US economy is on the ‘wrong track’.
Breitbart reports that it was part of Fannie Mae’s Home Purchasing Sentiment survey and reflects the highest expression of concern about the US economy in 11 years.
The survey also revealed that under President Joe Biden concerns about the US economy are increasing, as a February poll revealed that 68% of Americans stated they were worried about the economy.
The number of Americans who are alarmed about the country’s economic outlook grew by nearly 8% over February.
This increased economic pessimism combined with concerns about rising interest rates due to inflation resulted in only 24% of those surveyed stating it was a good time to buy a home.
