While you may not have heard of Jack Pratt, you have no doubt heard of his famous father actor Chris Pratt who starred in the Jurassic World series.

Jack’s name came up when his mother, actress Anna Faris, was being interviewed by comedian Chelsea Handler on her podcast Dear Chelsea, Church Leaders report.

Faris, 49, is best known for her comedic roles in the Scary Movie series. Faris and Pratt were married between 2009 to 2017. Both have since remarried.

In the interview, Faris shared how Jack, 14, has been asking her to “accept Jesus Christ” into her life. She responded by saying that she would do anything for him, but there would have to be a lot of discussion before she did.

As part of this she challenged him on his faith. She added that it hasn’t thrown him off describing her son as “solid as a tugboat emotionally,” She added that he is not easily upset and considers him to be very grounded, which is amazing for a child growing up in Hollywood.

“I’m like, ‘Do you think it’s a luxury that you get to be pro-life?” Faris challenged Jack. “Do you think that’s kind of a luxury?’ And he’s like, ‘Maybe.’ Or I’ll say, ‘What do you think of this [megachurch] pastor that’s kind of a grifter?’ And he’s like, ‘Oh, mega pastors are the worst.’”

Faris said unlike her son, she did not grow up in a religious environment. In previous interviews, she described her parents as being ‘ultra Liberal’.

Jack’s father, Chris, has been very open about his faith both at home and professionally.

In previous interviews, Chris shared how Jack was born nine weeks premature weighing only three pounds. Because of a potential brain bleed, doctors were concerned Jack would have serious disabilities.

Chris said they prayed hours and believed God healed his son in the incubation chamber.

Chris Pratt’s Prophetic Conversion to Christ

In an interview with Esquire, Chris shared his remarkable conversion that included a prophetic word that has clearly come to pass.

He was living in Hawaii where he worked as a waiter. He and friends were getting liquor. Since Pratt was only 19, he couldn’t go inside the store.

While waiting outside he was approached by a man working with a ministry called Jews for Jesus.

“I stopped because Jesus told me to stop and talk to you,” the man said. “He said to tell you you’re destined for great things.”

When his friends came out Chris said that he wouldn’t be joining them because he had become a Christian.

“My friends came out, and I was like, ‘Hey, I’m gonna go with this guy.’ I gave my soul to Jesus within, like, two days. I was stuffing envelopes for his organization, Jews for Jesus,” Chris said. “I’m not even sure, at that age—I was nineteen years old—I knew what Jewish was.”

But that word about a great destiny was fulfilled four weeks later while he was at work at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co in Maui.

One of the tables he was serving included a movie director who asked if Chris was interested in being part of a movie he was shooting in California.

Today Chris’ leading role movies have achieved over $15 billion in sales worldwide making him the third most successful actor in the world.
