Graph explains Ontario’s COVID ICU crisis

They say the first casualty in any war is the ‘truth.’ In this battle over freedom, the Ontario government has ordered a stay-at-home lockdown of the Canadian province because the ICUs are being overrun with COVID cases.

Note the graph below shows this is not the case. The blue represents the total percentage of ICU occupancy as of April 9, 2021 and the red represents the number of COVID cases in each ICU.

The vast majority of ICUs are running at 80% or below of capacity.’

Wave 3. ICU capacity overwhelmed thus entire province locked down, surgeries cancelled. Of 30 regions w ICU, 5 are above 85% ICU occupancy: Hastings, Peel, Hamilton, Toronto, Sudbury.
