While the rest of the world was arranging contracts with the world’s legitimate COVID vaccine manufactures, Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was trying to hagg
According to a recent study published in Journal Nature, the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines may provide a protection from COVID that could last for years. This is disappointing news to health bureaucrats and politicians wanting to extend masks and lockdowns indefinitely.
It’s a puzzle. Seychelles has the highest COVID vaccination rate in the world, with 131 doses per 100 people. Over 70% of the people have received their first COVID vaccine, and 61% have received their second. But now the 115 island nation located in the Indian Ocean is being overwhelmed with COVID cases and the country is returning to lockdowns.
Blinded by his own political ideology, Britain’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson recently claimed that his lockdown orders are what stopped COVID in that country. He was quickly put back in place by one of Britain’s leading epidemiologists, who bluntly stated it’s the vaccines that are doing the job, not lockdowns.
The convoluted bureaucracy that runs the EU is now blaming AstraZeneca for the EU abysmal failure in obtaining vaccines. The reality is the EU bureaucrats took three months to get around to ordering its vaccines from its manufacturers. Meanwhile, countries around the world were booking their orders. The simple fact is other countries got their orders in first and EU bureaucrats are forced to wait their turn.
Apparently, one person’s suffering is another person’s opportunity. With the prospects that COVID-19 is not going anywhere, and vaccines may become an annual event, Pfizer executives stated that this provides a “significant opportunity” for the company to jack up the price of its vaccine.
Officials for a COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Pasadena, California for those holding vital positions was forced to cancel after its online booking slots were flooded with those who weren’t eligible. The clinic was intended for senior citizens and those working in important fields such as heath-care, child-care, food services and teachers. So who were these ineligible people who thought they were so important that they could cut into the line? It was mostly Hollywood and media.
It is becoming increasing obvious that Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is clearly in over his head. He had companies willing to produce a made-in Canada vaccine, but things started going wrong because of Trudeau’s unhealthy obsession with Communist China. The National Post explains: Let’s go back to April of 2020. The world is still very much in the first wave of COVID-19, and governments around the world are scrambling to find some way to get back to normal. On May 6, the Government of Canada announces a deal with CanSino, a Chinese company that was developing what was then one of the world’s most promising vaccine candidates. The arrangement was that Canada would conduct human trials for the CanSino vaccine and then, once it was approved, we’d manufacture it within our own borders. But there’s just one problem. When CanSino tried to send Canada its first shipments of the vaccine, it was arbitrarily blocked at the border by Chinese authorities. Why? Probably retaliation for Canada’s arrest of Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou for extradition to …
The incompetence of the EU and its bureaucracy was on full display, when it recently restricted vaccines being produced in the European Union destined for Canada. This has resulted in a shortfall in vaccines previously ordered by the Canadian government.
According to early reports, vaccinations are having a profound impact on stopping the spread of COVID in Canadian nursing homes, and the people most vulnerable to the virus.
With vaccines rolling out around the world, a normal, rational person would think that the first people to be vaccinated should be those most vulnerable to the virus, including people over 70 and those with underlying health conditions.
