12 And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. (Matthew 24:12 ESV)

A simple statement by a woman cashier at a Seattle gas station describes the social deterioration taking place in the state of Washington as left-wing politicians and DAs call for the defunding of police and implement soft-on-crime policies.

As six young masked men entered the gas station on Friday night (September 15, 2023), Leah Johnston knew immediately there was trouble, Fox News reports.

But she wasn’t prepared for what happened next.

As one of the males brutally attacked Leah, repeatedly hitting her in the head, kicking her, and kneeing her in the stomach, the other five ransacked the store. They would end up stealing less than $100 cash and several items including candy.

But what was disturbing is that despite pleading with the man she wasn’t going to resist them, he continued viciously beating her as the others laughed at what was happening.

Johnston summed up what was taking place in Washington State with these words:

Kids don’t seem to fear anything anymore. There’s like, no repercussions for them the way there used to be.”

Johnston said that kids have no fear because there are no repercussions for crime anymore.

Jesus warned in the days leading up to His second coming that lawlessness would increase. I never expected that this would be directly linked to the government’s refusal to deal with crime.
