In a post on its Facebook page, the Boone Police Department in North Carolina reported they were able to apprehend a suspect with the help of a herd of cows, The Blaze reports.

According to the report, the police were in pursuit of the 34-year-old suspect after an attempted traffic stop. When the man abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot, the police were too far away to determine which direction the individual had fled.

However, it seems the suspect had fled into a pasture inhabited by a herd of cows who then assisted the police in apprehending the suspect.

“Apparently cows do not want suspected criminals loitering in their pasture and quickly assisted our officers by leading them directly to where the suspect was hiding. The cows communicated with the officers as best they could and finally just had the officers follow them to the suspect’s location,” police reported.
