The Daily Caller reports that Olive Tree, producer of a popular Bible app, has voluntarily removed its app from Apple’s Chinese app store, after it was told that it needed a permit from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for the app to be available on Apple’s website.

Olive Tree said that it did not have this approval and doubted it would be able to get one.

According to Apple Censorship, which keeps track of Apple apps, the CCP also demanded that a Muslim app of the Quran be removed because according to the app’s publisher, it contained “content that is illegal in China as determined by the (Cyberspace Administration of China), which is not in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines.”

While Apple has chosen to bend the knee to the CCP to continue its lucrative operations in the Communist regime, Fox News reports that LinkedeIn took a different approach and decided to shut down its social media site in the Communist regime rather than continuing to censor posts and users on behalf of the CCP.

Though the New Testament was written 2,000 years, the Apostle Paul had pretty good understanding of our modern culture:

10 For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. (1 Timothy 6:10 NASV)

The Bible states that it is not money, but rather the ‘love of money’, that leads to this evil.
