Within 24 hours of imposing a facemask mandate on the serfs of her city, Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser was caught breaking that same rule as she officiated an indoor wedding.

According to the Daily Caller, aside from Mayor Bower’s rule breaking, the event included “hundreds of unmasked guests.”

Mayor Bowser released a statement on Thursday this week, requiring people, even fully vaccinated, to wear masks indoors effective 5 AM, Saturday morning (July 31, 2021).

When a Washington Examiner reporter approached the mayor asking about the hypocrisy, security quickly ushered her away.

Mayor Bower is apparently part of the “rules for thee, but not for me” political class, who believe they are above the law.

According to the Daily Caller, there have been only two deaths from COVID over the previous two weeks in the US Capitol, that has a population of over 700,000 people.

The View co-host, Meghan McCain made a similar statement earlier this week, noting that between July 14-28, 2021, more people died from gun shots wounds (11) in DC than COVID (4). READ: ‘The View’ co-host Meghan McCain: I have a better chance of getting shot in DC than contracting COVID

MORE HYPOCRISY

Of course, this is not the first time we have seen this hypocrisy. Radical-left, Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been calling for police to be defunded for the last several months.

While she expects the average citizen to live with less police protection, she spends tens of thousands of tax dollars on her own personal protection, that according to The Blaze includes hiring “a former Blackwater contractor.” READ: Fierce ‘defund the police’ supporter AOC spends tens of thousands on personal security, including ex-Blackwater contractor: report
