From the file of the blatantly obvious, a Los Angeles County sheriff states that the dramatic rise in crime and gun violence in his county is due to the progressive policies of left-wing Democrat politicians and the ‘defund the police’ movement.

The Blaze explains:

Los Angeles County’s top cop, Sheriff Alex Villanueva, says the far-left “defund the police” narrative and progressive officials are responsible for a worrying spike in violent crime.

In Los Angeles, for example, murders are up nearly 200%, Fox News reported. Through the first two months of 2021, there were 60 murders in Los Angeles County compared to just 21 during the same time period last year.

Villanueva added these left wing progressives are also the first to call the police at a hint of trouble.

Such as Portland City Commissioner, Jo Ann Hardesty, did after an Lyft driver got so fed up with her abuse that he ordered Hardesty out of his car.
