The Twitter outrage mob has turned on two rather famous Black men, former NBA stars Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal, because they dared to suggest that the defunding the police is not the best idea for Black people. Barkley even wondered who are Blacks supposed to call if there are no police, Ghostbusters?
Of course, defunding police is one of the major cornerstones of the Black Lives Matter organization.
Breitbart explains:
TNT basketball commentators Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal are facing the outrage of thousands on social media, after the pair pointed out how defunding the police will harm black people.
Barkley went on a tear after the announcement of the charges of a single Louisville, Kentucky, police officer in the wake of the shooting of Breonna Taylor.
“Who are black people supposed to call, Ghostbusters, when we have crime in our neighborhood? We need to stop the defund or abolish the police crap,” Barkley said during the Thursday broadcast of NBA on TNT.
They are not the first blacks to criticize those calling to defund the police. READ: ‘Absurd, Crazy, Ridiculous’: Black Leaders Slam Minneapolis City Council’s Plan To Defund The Police
The outrage mob represents a small group of very vocal people found primarily on Twitter. You would think by the amount of racket they create that this mob represents the majority of Blacks. They do not and it’s not even close. READ: 81% of Black Americans Want To Maintain or Increase Police Presence in Their Neighborhood
I repeat, Twitter does not represent mainstream society. Ignore it.
