According to a recent Gallup Poll, people’s trust in the mainstream media continues to plummet, WND reports.
The poll conducted in the first three weeks of September 2023 found that nearly four in 10 Americans (39%) have ‘no confidence at all’ in the mainstream media.
In addition, another 29% of Americans described their trust in the mainstream media as being ‘not very much.’
This means that 68% of Americans have none to very little trust in the legacy media.
And if the mainstream media is at all concerned, there has been a marked decline in people’s trust over the past seven years. In 2016 only 27% of Americans stated they absolutely did not trust the legacy media.
In its news release, Gallup added that previous polling showed that “newspapers and television news were among the least-trusted institutions in the U.S. Only 18% of Americans trusted newspapers, down from 21% in 2021, and only 14% trusted television news, down from 16% in 2021.”
This should not surprise us. Over the past few years, many news sources have turned into little more than propaganda departments for the political left.
