With the arrival of AI or artificial intelligence, it is becoming increasingly clear you can’t trust anything you see or hear.

According to a recent post on Instagram, famed American actor Tom Hanks, 67, warned people about a recent ad featuring an AI-generated video of a younger Hanks that is being used to promote a dental plan, the New York Post reports.

Hanks started off his post with the words, “Beware,” and then adds:

“There’s a video out there promoting some dental plan with an AI version of me. I have nothing to do with it.”

Though some questioned the quality of Hanks in the AI-generated video, AI is still in its infancy, it is going to get better and more realistic.

As one commenter on the NY Post article stated, “This is the tip of the iceberg- more to come – AI IS DANGEROUS.”

At times, I have wondered if AI may play a role in the end times. In the Book of Revelation, an incident occurs where the beast seems to miraculously recover from a mortal head wound. Is it real?

One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled as they followed the beast. (Revelation 13:3 ESV)
