A recent poll conducted by Echelon Insights poll on behalf of the Daily Wire revealed that people are clearly tired of corporations becoming involved in ESG issues, environmental, social, and governance issues.
It has become trendy for many corporations to embrace social issues, often to avoid a barrage of criticism on social media if they don’t.
However, social media doesn’t portray the real world.
The poll found that 58% of those surveyed said it was a ‘bad thing’ for corporations to use their position to promote political and social issues, double the 29% who supported promoting these woke agendas.
In an interview with the Daily Wire, Vivek Ramaswamy, who heads a conservative investment fund called Strive, said:
“The data are clear: everyday investors want companies to focus on creating shareholder value by delivering excellent products and services to their customers, not on advancing social or political agendas.”
