Kirk Cameron encourages parents to start homeschooling kids

In a soon to be released documentary called, “The Homeschool Awakening”, former Hollywood actor, Kirk Cameron is encouraging parents to get their kids out of public schools and start homeschooling them.

The Blaze provides more details:

Cameron declared, “Since the pandemic, we’ve been made grossly aware of the inaccurate and the immoral things that the public school system has been teaching our children and our grandchildren. And it’s up to us as parents to cultivate the hearts and minds and souls of our children toward what is good, toward what is right, beautiful, and true.”

“The public school system, unfortunately, has not been working with us, but actively working against us,” Cameron declared. “In my opinion, the public school system has become public enemy No. 1.”

“We need to take back the education of our children because whoever controls the textbooks controls the future,” the popular actor said. “Whoever’s shaping the hearts and minds and souls of our children will determine whether or not we live in a free country.”“

And whether we have freedom of speech and economic freedom and educational and political freedom and religious freedom,” he continued. “If these things are important to you, as I believe they are, join me. It’s time for a homeschool awakening.”

A recent report by ABC News, during the pandemic a study of 18 states found that the number of parents choosing to homeschool their kids grew by 63% in 2020-21.

While many expected things would return to normal once the pandemic was over, ABC reported that in the 2021-2022 school year, that the number of parents choosing to home school continued to increase going up by 46%.

Cameron, 52, became famous starring as Mike Seaver in the ABC hit TV series, Growing Pains that ran from 1985 to 1992. He left the series shortly after he became a Christian.
