According to the Toronto Sun, people attending the Freedom Convoy 2022 in Ottawa, Ontario, are reporting there are snipers on the rooftops monitoring the peaceful protest calling for an end to COVID mandates.
The Toronto Sun writes:
The sight of police with rifles on Ottawa rooftops overlooking thousands of Freedom Convoy protesters sent social media into a frenzy Saturday. […]
Ontario Independent MPP Randy Hillier tweeted: “This is crazy! We aren’t Communist China yet — snipers on the roof, overlooking a peaceful rally? But not hidden, is this just intimidation?”
However, some are suggesting this type of police presence is now common for any large event in Ottawa.
