Virginia mom warns about cultural Marxism infiltrating public schools

Karl Marx, the founder of Communism (1818-1883)

Xi Van Fleet, who was six years old when Mao Zedong’s Cultural Revolution swept China, attended a meeting of the Loudoun County School Board in Virginia to voice her criticism of the “controversial critical race theory” being embraced by the board.

In her one-minute speech, Van Fleet noted the similarities she sees with critical race theory and Mao’s Cultural Revolution, stating:

“I’ve been very alarmed by what’s going on in our schools. You are now teaching, training our children to be social justice warriors and to loathe our country and our history.

“The Communist regime used the same critical theory to divide people. The only difference is they used class instead of race.

“We were taught to denounce our heritage, and Red Guards destroyed anything that is not communist…statues, books and anything else.

“We were also encouraged to report on each other, just like the Student Equity Ambassador program and the bias reporting system.”

Van Fleet fled Communist China when she was 26 years old, and now she is very concerned the same cultural Marxism is creeping into the US.

Fox News later interviewed Van Fleet who added:

The Cultural Revolution began when she was 6 years old, she said, and immediately pitted students and teachers and against one another by hanging “Big Posters” in hallways and the cafeteria where students could write criticisms against anyone deemed ideologically impure.

“One of the teachers was considered bourgeoisie because she liked to wear pretty clothes,” Van Fleet said. “So the students attacked her and spit on her. She was covered with spit… and pretty soon it became violence.”

Communist squads would raid homes and destroy any relics of China’s past culture, history, governments or religion, she said. […]

“We were asked to report if we hear anything about someone saying anything showing that there’s a lack of complete loyalty to Mao,” she said. “There were people reporting their parents, and their parents ended up in jail.”

It’s actually more involved, though you’ve shared a lot. I see it as creating a “them” category to the impact of them not even knowing they’re “them”, but that they learn to not support those who truly think for themselves, are truly honest, and who want to truly understand whatever they learn. They’ll even use “counselors” to create a “them” category of feelings and “understanding” to go against anything of real value and responsibility. Divide and conquer without people know that’s what’s going on.

  2. I saw the video of Xi, who’s son graduated Loudoun County Schools in 2015 and I’m horrified. If there’s anyone we should be listening to, it is she (Xi) and anyone else who has lived under Socialism or Communism! They would know more than anyone. People really need to wake up! Thank you for posting this, Dean!

You know, the Russians, many who lived in the former Soviet Union, know exactly what’s happening in America. Many probably wonder what are we thinking allowing Marxism here. It’s like, some might think, that we love giving our freedoms away, or we’re just plain stup#d.
