When people get sick of being ruled by tyrants, it usually results in a civil war. In a democracy, we have a chance to kick them out in four or five years. However, some US states provide citizens the opportunity to kick out a politician before the next election if enough people sign a petition triggering a recall election and one has been launched to recall California Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Apparently, Gov. Newsom is becoming increasing concerned as his recall petition has already gathered 820,000 of the 1.5 million names needed to spark a recall. The petition organizers have until March to gather the required amount of signatures.
People are not only tiring of Newsom’s abusive COVID-1984 lockdown that in some instances violated the constitution, but he also issued stay-at-home orders for people who aren’t even sick, meaning they can’t even go outside their homes for a walk. But his recent decision to tie lockdowns to ICUs exceeding 85% capacity has particularly angered people. As several medical practitioners noted, during flu seasons ICUs can regularly exceed 85% capacity.
This wouldn’t even be the first time a governor was recalled in California. A recall election in 2003, resulted in Arnold Schwarzenegger replacing Gray Davis.
Fox News explains:
The push to recall California Gov. Gavin Newsom is gaining momentum.
“It’s probably one of the most important efforts I have worked on in over 40 years of campaign efforts,” Rescue California campaign manager Anne Dunsmore told “Fox & Friends” on Thursday.
Dunsmore said the citizen movement has 2,000-3,000 active volunteers on the ground in California.
“The citizen movement on this is really something to see and you have to see it to believe it,” Dunsmore said.
