Frontline doctors compare COVID-19 to the seasonal flu and call for an end to the lockdown

At a recent news conference, two California doctors, Dan Erickson and Artin Massihi, who have been on the front lines dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic are calling for an end to the lockdown stating its impact is on par with the seasonal flu in both the number of cases and death rate.

The two, based out of Accelerated Urgent Care in Bakersfield, California, have administered over 5,200 COVID-19 tests.

At the news conference, Erickson said:

“Do we need to still shelter in place? Our answer is emphatically no. Do we need businesses to be shut down? Emphatically no. Do we need to test them and get them back to work? Absolutely.”

The two also added that emergency doctors tell of being pressured to add COVID-19 as the cause of death on their reports. This suggests that some have an agenda to make COVID-19 worse than it really is. Not the first time we have heard of that.

As some are suggesting, a possible theme for this pandemic might be “exaggeration.”
