It’s either a 30′ glitch, or…

On the lighter side, the captain of a boat that is part of Cruise Loch Ness claims to have picked up an image of a 30′ long shape at about 500′ underwater with the latest sonar equipment while cruising the famed Scottish Loch.

Lessons from the Ring

Have you ever been knocked out in a fight? I have. I didn’t like it much.  After all that bobbing and weaving and ducking and hitting; bam! Right in the nose. I saw stars and down I went. I didn’t stay down. Hats off to me, I jumped up and did the drunk walk for a bit before finding a place to fall down again. I lost that one. It is the only time I was knocked out by another human. I am glad I don’t box anymore. My Dad was an avid boxing fan and at one time we watched as many bouts as we could and knew many of the boxers by name and style. It is a violent sport. And there’s a lot to do if you want to succeed. Stay on the balls of your feet, keep them moving constantly, buildup your speed, your strength, your stamina, and control your emotions. My biggest downfall was losing my temper. You could hit me anywhere and it didn’t matter, it didn’t really even …

Seattle: Peaceful rioters throw explosives at police

It was another night of peaceful rioting in Seattle. This time left-wing anarchists threw explosives at police and into a Starbucks after smashing a window on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020. The Daily Wire writes: Photos taken by the Seattle Police Department showed graffiti spray painted on various buildings calling for police officers to be murdered. Law enforcement officials “arrested 16 individuals after various acts of property destruction, assault, and vandalism” that occurred during the riot, according to the police department. “A group of protestors left Cal Anderson Park shortly after 9 PM Saturday heading North. A few members of the group were seen committing acts of vandalism and property damage along the way. The group slowly made their way to the 1600 block of East Olive Way where they shattered windows and threw explosives into a coffee shop.” The police department said that arrests were also made for failure to disperse and rendering criminal assistance after the rioters attacked police officers with what officials said was an “explosive.” READ: Riots Break Out Again In Seattle: …

Thousands pray: President Trump could be released from hospital on Monday?

It was startling news that US President Trump had come down with COVID and had been admitted to Walter Reed Hospital. At 74 years of age and some suggest over weight, President Trump fell into the category of those most vulnerable to the Coronavirus. And even I was a bit surprised by the suggestion that the President may be released from hospital as soon as Monday. But maybe I shouldn’t have been because thousands of people have been praying for the President.

Study: Anxiety can lead to dementia

Through the Gospels, we read of several instances where Jesus warned about worry: And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? (Matthew 6:27) And for good reason. Today, numerous studies have shown that worry/anxiety can lead to multiple health issues. READ: How Worrying Affects the Body But now researchers at Northwestern University are warning that anxiety in our younger years could also make a person more susceptible to dementia when they are older. Study Finds explains: CHICAGO — As we age, the countless cells and neurons in our brains can come under attack from harmful tangles and plaque build-ups. This interference is the common cause of dementia, which destroys the memory and thinking abilities of many seniors. While scientists continue to work on treatments for dementia, a new study finds your personality may be the best weapon you have. Researchers at Northwestern University say anxious and moody people are more susceptible to the affects of brain damage later in life. […] The data in the Northwestern report comes …

Pope Francis pushes communism & one world government?

A couple of stories on Pope Francis reveals some concerns about the leader of the Roman Catholic Church which as of 2018 had 1.3 baptized adherents. Both articles focussed on a teaching entitled the new encyclical, ‘Fratelli Tutti’ (Brothers All) that the Pope gave on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020. In the first article reported in the Daily Mail, the leader of the world’s Catholic seems to be indirectly pushing communism as the answer to the world’s woes. The Daily Mail explains: Pope Francis says the coronavirus pandemic has proven that the ‘magic theories’ of market capitalism have failed and that the world needs a new type of politics that promotes dialogue and solidarity. […] He rejected the concept of an absolute right to property for individuals, stressing instead the ‘social purpose’ and common good that must come from sharing the Earth’s resources. Protesters and Their Message: What truth?

Probably the whole world knows that a man named George Floyd died after being detained by police, on May 25, 2020. After the death of George Floyd, demonstrators went into the streets in many cities, around the world. The demonstrations grew, and persisted, and became violent. Probably the most important development was that the demonstrations became news stories, and we all started watching and reading. We were interested and we all started to form opinions. It’s important to remember that our news come from corporations, and they like making money. Even government-owned news sources like to attract audiences and sell advertising. In a strange development, George Floyd was a gold mine for media corporations. The whole world watched and read the news about his death, and the demonstrations.
