In the Old Testament, God instituted seven feasts where the Jews would gather to express their faith. In many ways, these were similar to a recent celebration in India where hundreds of thousands Christians gathered to celebrate their faith in early December, Christian Learning reports.

The Charismatic gathering, called Nagaland Revival & Healing Festival 2025 (NRHF), was held in Dimapur, Nagaland. Located in Northeastern India, the state is separated from India’s main continent by the state of Bangladesh.
Nagaland has a population of 1.9 million and Dimapur, its largest city, is home to 173,000.
Like the Hebrew festivals which often covered several days, the NRHF ran from December 2 to December 5, 2025. Organized by a group called The Gate Keepers, the festival was dedicated to reigniting people’s spiritual passion.
The main speaker was Apostle Ankit Sajwan who leads New Delhi’s Family of Lord Jesus Church. In his sermons, Sajwan encouraged people to have a personal encounter with Jesus and the Holy Spirit and to restore their relationship with the Father.
He warned of “dead religious Christianity” that was empty of the transformative power of the Holy Spirit.
People’s hunger for more of God was seen through the extended times of worship and intercessory prayer during the event. Many people also testified of experiencing divine healing.
Equally importantly, the organizers witnessed a breakdown of tribal and denominational lines as people ministered to each other as one body.
It’s estimated that over 35,000, mostly youth, attended the first night’s service. By the last meeting on Dec 5, the crowd reached 200,000. It’s believed that upwards of 400,000 people attended the four day festival.
Overwhelmed by the massive attendance, organizers were forced to move the meetings to the city’s Multi-Disciplinary Sports Complex. The original meeting place, Dimapur State Stadium, was simply not large enough to accommodate the crowd.
Even though 87% of Nagaland’s population is Christian, the state press were shocked by the number of people who attended this year’s event.
God desires His people to gather for times of celebration and spiritual renewal. We see an example of just that when the Holy Spirit fell during the Feast of Pentecost in Acts 2.
