6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains. (Matthew 24:6-7 NIV)
The same day (Saturday, Oct 7, 2023) that the terrorist group, Hamas, invaded Israel, killing over 700 people, injuring 2,600 and capturing about 100 people, including women and children, three earthquakes also struck around the world, the Daily Mail reports.
The most serious was a massive 6.3 magnitude earthquake that struck the western part of Afghanistan. According to the most recent reports over 2,400 people have been killed.
In addition to the Afghanistan earthquake, on the same day, a 6.7 magnitude earthquake hit Papua New Guinea and a 6.3 magnitude hit Mexico. Fortunately, there were no reports of deaths in these two countries.

Having all four of these events taking place on the same day was probably just a coincidence.
However, while describing the days leading to His second coming, Jesus said there would be earthquakes, famines, wars, and rumors of wars.
These were referred to as the start of the birth pangs preparing for the arrival of the apocalyptic events described in the Book of Revelation.
