According to a report published by Les Églises Protestants Évangéliques en France, there are over 2,700 evangelical churches in France, Evangelical Focus reports.
This represents about 0.4 Evangelical churches for every 10,000 people. However, this figure does not include any groups of evangelical Christians who are meeting in private homes.
The report also revealed that with a population of just over 65 million, only 745,000 regularly attend an evangelical church.
Though this represents only 1.5% of the population, it reveals that there has been a significant growth in the Evangelical population over the past 70 years.
The number of evangelical Christians in the country has increased 15 times since 1950 when there were only 50,000 Evangelical Christians in France, which had a population of 42 million at the time.
