In an earlier post, I discussed the emergence of a satanic worldwide religion in the end times. Many believe this is what the ‘whore of Babylon,’ mentioned in Revelation 17, is referring to as throughout the Old Testament, harlotry was often associated with ‘false religions.’

If this is true, it’s uncertain if this is referring to the establishment of a completely new religion or referring to one of our current mainstream religions being corrupted from within.

According to Bitter Winter, an organization dedicated to preserving religious freedom around the world, a recent pastor’s conference held in communist China may have just cast a vote for the latter, the corruption of mainstream religion.

The conference held June 27 to 30, in Changchun, Jilin, China was sponsored by the Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM), the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) state-approved protestant religion in China.

It is illegal for anyone to attend a religious service that is not part of the TSPM, which is basically controlled by the CCP. This has resulted in the formation of a massive underground church movement across China.

A similar organization has also been set up for Catholic churches and in 2018, the Roman Catholic Church signed an agreement allowing the CCP to appoint Catholic bishops.

According to Bitter Winter, over the years, the CCP has manipulated the Three-Self Church, stylizing it after the Communist Party.

It involves a process referred to as ‘sinicized’ where the church has been merged with communist thought, essentially becoming the prayer wing of the CCP.

“Three-Self churches are being transformed into ideological indoctrination centers for Xi-Jinping-style Communism, with the tiny veneer of Christianity becoming tinier every year and every day,” writes Zhang Chunhua for Bitter Winter.

With this as the ultimate goal, the conference, entitled Training Meeting for Key Pastors of the Northeast China Christian Region,” revealed a more disturbing goal of the CCP. Apparently, it now wants to export this new brand of Communist-inspired, Protestant Christianity around the world.

This was the major message of the conference’s main speakers, Pastor Shan Weixiang, Vice President and Chief Executive of the China Christian Council, and Pastor Kan Baoping, Vice Chairman of China Christian Three-Self Patriotic Movement Committee.

Pastor Kan, who in his message described the Three-Self Patriot Movement as “Christianity adapted to a Socialist society,” added, that TSPM was Communist China’s gift to Christianity and that through this rebranding, the CCP “will change the face of world Christianity.”

Bitter Winter noted that the CCP was recently able to have Pastor Kan installed on the Central Committee of the World Council of Churches.
