There have been several interesting developments since the Twitter board agreed to sell Twitter to Elon Musk, who is determined to allow free speech to return to the platform.
This is not an automatic guarantee that it will happen because the shareholders still have to sell their shares to Musk, but the agreement means that the board will not institute measures to thwart the sale.
But the purchase does seem inevitable.
Twitter allows Conservatives back on the site
Already we are seeing that Twitter has allowed several conservative pundits back on its social media platform, including Fox News hosts Tucker Carlson and Mark Levin who had previously been banned.
Other returnees included Conservative British actor Michael Caine and as well the Twitter account for truckers for freedom.
There are no indications if Twitter has allowed the Christian satirical website, The Babylon Bee, to post. It was suspended in late March, and the last tweet is still dated March 20, 2022.

Concerns that Twitter employees will sabotage site
The Daily Mail is reporting that Twitter is already blocking developers from making changes to the app over concerns that woke engineers may try to sabotage the site.
According to The Daily Mail:
Twitter has now banned any product updates that are not ‘business-critical’, with the company’s vice-president required to give approval for any to go ahead. The move aims to prevent angry staff from ‘going rogue’, a source told Bloomberg, and comes after employees dismissed Musk as ‘dangerous to democracy’.
Woke Twitter employees losing their minds
And the fears of sabotage are probably legitimate. There have been several Tweets by woke Twitter employees who are losing it since the site will no longer be able to ban people they personally don’t agree with.
Many are also concerned that they will not be able to continue working from home.
The Blaze describes the reaction:
Immediately after the $44 billion purchase was announced, Twitter employees began voicing outrage and shock in private chat rooms. A New York Times reporter described internal communication channels as “absolutely insane.”
“I feel like im going to throw up..I [really] don’t wanna work for a company that is owned by Elon Musk,” one Twitter employee told a New York Times reporter.”I don’t [really] know what I’m supposed to do…oh my god, my phone’s been blowing up,” that employee continued.
“I feel like he’s this petulant little boy and that he’s doing this to troll…he doesn’t know anything about our policies and what we do…his statement about our [algorithm] was f***ing insane… Were just gonna let everyone run amok?…nobody knows.”
Several woke users are threatening to leave
Meanwhile, several woke users, such as actress Jameela Jamil and left-wing activist Shaun King are threatening to leave Twitter. According to a recent report, King has decided not to leave.
In response, Musk sent out a Tweet explaining what free speech is all about.
‘I hope that even my worst critics remain on Twitter, because that is what free speech means.’

Below are a few tweets of others threatening to leave:
New York Times columnist Charles Blow:
Actress Nicole Brown:
Former New York Times editorial board member Mira Kamdar:
Historian James Fell only threatened to leave if Twitter allowed Trump to return:
Here is the strange thing, unlike many Conservative Twitter users, these people will not be banned, blocked, suspended, hindered from being verified, or shadowed banned limiting who can see their tweets, they are leaving of their own volition.
