Power is addicting and some like New Zealand’s, left-wing Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, clearly need to be in rehab.

With the arrival of Omicron, Ardern just passed a law requiring that if anyone catches Omicron, they and their families will be forced to isolate at home for up to 24 days.

The new law requires anyone testing positive for the flu, err Omicron, along with their families to not leave their homes for 14 days. Family members will be required to isolate an additional 10 days on top of that to make sure they didn’t catch it.

Many are warning that such extreme measures will simply result in people refusing to get tested.

We need to learn to live with COVID

New Zealand’s Prime Minister has taken a zero approach to COVID, including Omicron and its flu-like symptoms, meaning a single case can spark extreme measures.

However, the experts are saying that with COVID’s ability to hide in animal populations, it is never going away, and we need to learn to live with it. READ: Study Finds Deer May Be Reservoir for SARS-CoV-2
