Everyone hates a dull knife. But there may be some good news, as Creation Moments reports that two engineers came up with a new blade that keeps its sharp edge six times longer than normal blades.
They designed the blades to cut metal. And even when it came to cutting titanium, one of the world’s hardest metals, which dulled the old blades in a matter of seconds, the new blade kept its edge for nearly 30 minutes.
How did they do this?
All they did was copy the design that God used when he created the teeth of rats, which consistently maintain a sharp edge.
Rats are able to do this because one side of their teeth is softer than the other side, allowing it to maintain a sharp edge even with wear.
