Rumours are circulating that a top level Chinese official has defected to the US. According to reports, Dong Jingwei is a member of the communist regime’s Ministry of State Security and a friend of China’s tyrant for life, Xi Jinping.

If this is true, Dong would be the highest ranking Chinese official to defect to date.

It’s reported that he is familiar with the Communist China’s weapons program that includes bioweapons, and Dong provided information about the Wuhan Institute of Virology that caused the US state department to finally acknowledge that the COVID virus probably leaked out of the communist regime’s Level 4 lab.

It is further stated that during the much talked about meeting between US and Chinese officials in Alaska in March 2021, that the Chinese delegation demanded Dong be returned to the Communist regime.

The Daily Beast noted:

[Dong’s] publicly available background indicates that he was responsible for the Ministry’s counterintelligence efforts in China, i.e., spy-catching, since being promoted to vice minister in April 2018. If the stories are true, Dong would be the highest-level defector in the history of the People’s Republic of China.

Dong’s defection was raised by Chinese officials last March at the Sino-American summit in Alaska, according to Dr. Han Lianchao, a former Chinese foreign ministry official before defecting after the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre. In a Wednesday tweet, Han, citing an unnamed source, alleged that China’s foreign minister Wang Yi and Communist Party foreign affairs boss Yang Jiechi demanded that the Americans return Dong, and U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken refused.

Note: Several are cautioning that these are just rumours at this point.

Being told the increased pressure on China in recent days is due to a defector with intimate knowledge. In fact, Wray didn’t know right away because they wanted to make sure they got all they needed before telling him.

Also…US intelligence believes China is trying to produce variants that suggest it came from bats to cover up that it originally came from a lab. The belief is still that it escaped accidentally, but was allowed to spread.
