 Welcome to OpenWord a teaching ministry to the Body of Christ. On this site you will find articles on a variety of topics, that we hope will edify and encourage you in your walk with God. We also provide a news feature that focuses on issues in the news that we feel will be interest to the Christian community. We invite you to take a look around and hope you will come back often as the site is regularly updated.
While you are going through articles on this website, don't be surprised if you come across teaching articles that disagree with each other. We believe there must be agreement on the fundamentals of the faith, but other areas are open to interpretation.
When Paul and Silas showed up in Berea, the people were described as being "more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the scriptures daily to see whether these things were so." (Acts 17:11 NASV).
We encourage you to take the same attitude towards our articles and Bible teaching. Study the Word yourself, and make sure what we are saying is true. You are the one who must make the final decision.
We have recently added a new section to the website entitled Christian Arts. It will feature teaching articles on areas related to the arts, from dance to visual arts.

How does our site work?
In the menu at the top of the page, you will find links that will take you to various sections on this website. If you are looking for information on specific topics try using our search engine located in both the Top and Left navigation bar.
The "News" link takes you to articles on current news events that we feel may be of interest to believers. The articles are archived by year and sorted by the date they were published.
The next link takes you to our Biblical Teaching section. The articles which are written by a variety of authors are broken up by category which are categorized alphabetically. These categories will be expanded as more articles are added. In some instances, articles may appear in more than one category
The "Apologetic" link takes you to articles that defend the Christian faith. These articles are again broken up into categories. Presently we have three: Creation, Archaeology and Miracles. The third one may require a bit of explanation. In this section, we plan to publish verified miracle testimonies and articles. God is at work today and we want people to see the evidence.
The commentary link will take you articles broken down by commentator. Click on the link and you will find articles on various subjects. These articles will feature opinion pieces on a variety of issues from political to spiritual to moral.
Christian arts involve creative works which exhibit supernatural Christian themes within their form and structure. These works include, but are not limited to the areas of; visual arts, music, dance, literature, drama, architecture, designs, crafts, film and multi-media.
