The confluence of Technology and COVID restrictions

A confluence is defined as several flowing streams meeting or gathering together at one point and merging together. It can refer to actual rivers joining or as I will use it in this article, ideas converging at the same moment in time. Over the last couple of years, there has been a convergence of several ideas that may be paving the way for what the Apostle John saw emerging in the end times the mark of the Beast that would be used to control people’s ability to buy or sell. The first stream, the chip Most recently, CBN had an article about a popular TikTok star, known as ‘The Chip Girl,’ with over three million followers, who has been showing the world the benefits of having a chip inserted in your hand. Burgundy Waller, who lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, is married to a man she describes as a ‘tech genius.’ Two years ago Burgundy had a chip her husband developed, inserted into her hand. In her TikTok videos, Burgundy shows the benefit that the …

Hints of the digital age in end times prophecy

As we read of the Biblical end times, we see hints scattered through the prophecies of the modern digital age we are living in today. When the angel of the Lord delivered a prophetic message to Daniel about the end times, God’s messenger said these prophecies would be sealed until the end of the age that would be marked by a rapid increase in knowledge: 4 But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” (Daniel 12:4 ESV) Even Sir Isaac Newton, a 17th century scientist who studied the end times prophecies, suggested that there would need to be an increase in technology to fulfill the events he saw taking place in the end times. One example include the death of the two prophets of God, who had tormented the world, in the Book of Revelation, the Apostle John’s vision of end-times events. John saw that when the beast killed the two prophets, people from every tribe and …

Providing a balance to the Mark of the Beast

A few weeks back, I was watching a video of a Christian panel discussing the COVID vaccine. I was shocked when a woman suggested that getting vaccinated was essentially taking the Mark of the Beast mentioned in Revelation 13. When the moderator asked her about those Christians who had already been vaccinated, the woman replied, “it’s too late for them.” In addition to a mark on our right hand and forehead, we also had to watch out for a band-aid on our left shoulder. It’s unfortunate that the Apostle John never warned us in advance about this. And in Sweden, some people are having microchips inserted in their hands that contained their vaccine passport, instead of downloading an app on their cell phones. This seemed to have ominous overtones about the Mark of the Beast, as the chip has multiple uses, including purchasing items. But is this what the Apostle John was warning us about? For a better understanding, we need to have a closer look at what the Mark of the Beast ultimately stands …

COVID passport microchips being embedded in people’s hands?

CBN is reporting that effective Dec 1, 2021, the Swedish government required a vaccine passport for anyone attending events exceeding 100 people. The Swedish newspaper, Aftonbladet, writes that this requirement has led to several hundred Swedes choosing to have a microchip embedded in their hand that contains a vaccine passport that can be read by an NFC reader. So far, about 6,000 Swedes have had a microchip embedded in their hands since it was introduced in 2014. Since these are memory chips, all sorts of data can be downloaded onto them. These chips can not only hold a COVID passport, but as well, a person’s ID. They can also be used to open doors requiring a card, and even make purchases. CBN writes that the conveniences these chips offer would be the driving force behind their growing acceptance: “It’s a so-called ‘health tool’ The Atlantic predicted would become more popular. “ “‘As with most technologies, the tipping point for implantable chips will come when they become so useful they’re hard to refuse. It could happen sooner than you …

Does a court case in Michigan help us understand the Mark of the Beast?

An interesting court case in Michigan slightly pries open a door for a brief discussion on the Mark of Beast, mentioned in the Book of Revelation, that I will take advantage of in this article. In his vision of the end times, the Apostle John said that people would be required to take the Mark of the Beast and if they didn’t, they would be prevented from buying or selling (Revelation 13:17). Though no actual mark is involved, a court case taking place in Michigan has a similar ring to it. According to Charisma News, Country Mill Farms has been participating in an annual farmers’ market in East Lansing for several years. In 2016, the farm, owned by Steve and Bridget Tennes, a Christian family, were banned from setting up a booth at the market because after checking out the farm’s Facebook page, an East Lansing official discovered the family believed in the Biblical definition of marriage. In 2017, represented by Alliance Defending Freedom, the Tennes were able to overturn the ban with the judge …

Does ‘The Great Reset’ and new world order include the ‘Mark of the Beast’?

You may have heard about ‘The Great Reset’, a plan originated by the World Economic Forum (WEF), a group of Global economic and political elitists, who want to use the COVID pandemic to remake the world along a socialist, totalitarian theme. This would result in a small group of elitists essentially controlling the world. As part of it, they even envision a world where people would no longer be allowed to own property. But in the midst of this discussion on ‘The Great Reset’, LifeSiteNews uncovered a video of an interview with Klaus Schwab, who founded the WEF, and currently heads its Great Reset program. In a 2016 interview with the Swiss based media outlet, RTS, Schwab stated that he believed computer chips would be installed in people’s brains within the next ten years. According to Schwab, it would start gradually, a frog in a boiling pot scenario, where the chips would be put on our clothes and eventually be installed in our brains or under our skin that would allow people to directly connect …

Are we getting technologically closer to the Mark of the Beast?

Over the centuries, Bible scholars have pondered about the Mark of the Beast that the Apostle John mentioned in his vision of the end times written down in the Book of Revelation. He saw that people were forced to take a mark on their hand or forehead and without it, they would be unable to buy or sell. John stated that the mark of the beast revealed an individual’s support of the anti-Christ regime. “It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.” Revelation 13: 16-17 (NIV) Some have suggested that this mark was simply a symbolic identification with the satanic realm, while others believe it was a literal mark revealing a person’s support. The emergence of a temporary high tech tattoo created by researchers at Penn State University may indicate how …

Is Amazon paving the way for the Mark of the Beast?

Several Christian websites are expressing concerns that Amazon’s plans to create technology allowing people to make purchases with their hand is paving the way for the Mark of the Beast warned by the Apostle John in his vision of the end times: 16 Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, 17 so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. Revelation 13:16-18 ESV In this passage, John very clearly ties the Mark of the Beast on either the hand or forehead to a person’s ability to buy or sell presenting a dystopian type of world controlling what a person can and cannot do. There has been speculation for decades on what the Mark of the Beast might entail and the recent announcement by Amazon caught everyone’s attention. The Wall Street Journal alleges that Amazon has applied for patent involving a “non-contact …

Can’t buy or sell because of Conservative beliefs?

Tucked within the Book of Revelation, a vision of the end times given the Apostle John, he saw a time coming when people would not be able buy or sell if they did not take the mark of the beast. 17 and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name. (Revelation 13:17 NASV) Though there have been books written on the mark of the beast, we still have no idea what it involves, certainly I don’t. Some suggest it will be computerized chips that are inserted in our hands, but it’s doubtful a chip would be put on our forehead which is where John says it will also appear (Revelation 13:16). I don’t believe the mark of the beast has made its appearance yet, but the idea that people will not be able to buy or sell because of a person’s beliefs is already starting to show up. It involves the story …

Why an Ottawa city councilor opposed Michael Olsen’s volunteer appointment

It was a bizarre move, and some would argue a sign of the times, but a city of Ottawa councilor recently opposed the appointment of Michael Olsen to a volunteer position on the Ottawa’s transit board. With a population of nearly a million, Ottawa is the capital city of Canada and the city’s transit board has set aside one position for a member of the public. Over 92 people applied for the position on the board and it had been narrowed down to three and according to Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson, he understood that Olsen was the transit commission’s top choice. So why did city Councillor Shawn Menard oppose Olsen’s appointment? Menard opposed it because Olsen, a retired Federal employee, is actively pro-life. A shocked Olsen told Lifesitenews, “What does this have to do with transit?” Nothing. Fortunately when Menard tried to thwart Olsen’s appointment, the city clerk, who also happened to be a lawyer, told city council that it couldn’t reject Olsen’s appointment because of his belief on abortion because it is protected under …

Is China’s ‘social credit’ system setting the stage for the antichrist?

Some experts are warning that other left-leaning governments may soon be tempted to carry out the Chinese government’s “Social Credit” system that came into full effect on May 1, 2018. The plan introduced by Chinese President Jinping will monitor and control those who don’t agree with China’s communistic policies. People will be issued a score based on their political, social and economic activities and this score will affect their ability to do things in China. Some suspect it is simply expanding a “Social Credit” system already developed by a major government-owned online Chinese retailer Alibaba. Alibaba’s financial division, Ant Financial, developed a social credit system called Sesame Credit. While many western businesses have a point system rewarding people based on how much they buy, Sesame Credit includes a strong social aspect in its system where people receive a rating between 350 and 950. The higher the score the better. The benefits of a high Sesame score include having government visa’s fast tracked, renting vehicles without a deposit. People with high Sesame ratings will even receive …

‘USA Today,’ the Apostle John and the Canadian government provide ominous warnings of the future

In the Book of Revelation, the Apostle John recorded a vision of the future that God gave him. It wasn’t just any future, it is what lay ahead for believers and the world in the end times leading to second coming of Christ. One of the verses that has caught the attentions of many people who study end times events are John’s references to the mark of the beast that would prevent people from buying and selling: 16 And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, 17 and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name. (Revelation 13:16-17 NASV) Remember this is a vision that John had of society in the future and he was just recording what he saw. He saw people with a mark …

A strange reason to celebrate?

Those with an eye on the end-times took note of the technological changes taking place at a small business center in Stockholm Sweden called Epicenter. Housing over 100 companies with an estimated 2,000 employees, Epicenter describes itself this way on its website: “Epicenter is Stockholm’s first digital House of Innovation at the heart of the city and Sweden’s digital landscape.” Though it is not mandatory, Epicenter offers to implant a rice-sized chip into the hands of employees of the various companies free of charge. Inserted into the flesh between the thumb and index finger, the chip serves multiple purposes. It can be used to open sealed doors and operate the printers that need to track usage. But the chip does more than that. Utilizing the same technology as credit cards it can also be used for purchases at the center’s food services. According to an article in the National Post, Epicenter first offered the chip in January 2015, and so far 150 of the 2,000 people working at the center have taken up the offer. …

Is the Canadian government moving towards a cashless society?

The Bank of Canada, which prints and manages Canada’s currency, has stated it is exploring producing its own version of digital money. Bank of Canada senior deputy governor Carolyn Wilkins suggested this move in a speech at the University of Waterloo in Ontario in early November. The announcement, reported in The Globe and Mail, was prompted by the rise of  digital currencies such as Bitcoin. There is concern that virtual currencies could eventually challenge the Bank’s monetary authority.

A painful Mark of the Beast? Man has computer chip inserted in his hand

And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead. (Revelation 13:16 NASV) In the Book of Revelation, the Apostle John speaks of a significant end-times event that he describes as the Mark of the Beast. We are not exactly sure what it will be, but as John was having his vision, he simply noticed an unusual mark on people’s hands or forehead. According to Revelation failure to have either of these two marks will result in a person not being able to buy or sell. and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name. (Revelation 13:17 NASV) Martijn Wismeijer owns Mr. Bitcoin, a Dutch company that installs Bitcoin machines around Europe. Bitcoin is a digital currency used to buy and sell goods from participating businesses …
