Euthanasia is Canada’s sixth leading cause of death

According to the Daily Caller, euthanasia is now one of Canada’s leading causes of death. With nearly 10,000 Medically Assistance in Dying (MAid) conducted in 2021, the Daily Caller reports it is now the sixth leading cause of death in the country. With those numbers likely to increase, some medical associations are demanding that euthanasia no longer be included as a cause of death on death certificates. Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, legalized euthanasia in 2016 for those 18 years and older suffering from serious medical problems. The government will expand the program in 2023 to allow those experiencing mental health issues to also seek MAiD Since its introduction, the program has been continually expanded, and with some of the loosest euthanasia laws in the world, there are growing concerns in Canada about the program. It has been reported that some people with disabilities are being forced to consider euthanasia because they can no longer keep up with their medical bills. There are also reports of government bureaucrats working with the federal government’s Veteran Affairs …

Human Rights commissioner resigns after allegedly posting her hatred of Christians on social media because of a Christmas tree controversy

Diane Loud, a member of the Human Rights Commission in Dedham, Massachusetts, recently resigned after publicly mocking God and condemning Christians, CBN reports. The problem started when the manager of Endicott Branch Library in Dedham, Lisa Desmond, was told that she would not be allowed to put up a Christmas tree at the library this year. When she asked why, Desmond was told that it had apparently resulted in complaints in previous years. The claim that the annual Christmas tree display had caused offense puzzled Desmond and on December 2, 2022, she commented on Facebook that over the previous 28 years that she had not heard of one complaint about the tree display at the library. According to Faithwire, the resulting pushback caused by Desmond’s comment allegedly resulted in a profanity-laden response from Loud on social media, where she mocked God, calling him a ‘magic sky daddy.’ I hope [you know] the fact that you – who claim to believe in Christ and Christmas or whatever happy horses— you’re trying to hide behind – are the …

Lost at sea: man credits God for sustaining him during 20-hour ordeal

James Grimes, 28, had joined 18 members of his family on a Carnival cruise ship in the Gulf of Mexico over the American Thanksgiving weekend. He had just won an air guitar contest, and around 11 pm told his sister he was going to use the washroom, CBN reports. Grimes, who is from Lafayette, Alabama, has no idea what happened next because all he remembers is waking up in the ocean with no cruise ship in sight. His family reported him missing the next day at around noon. The Coast Guard was contacted and started to search a 7,000-mile area. After spending nearly 20 hours in the Gulf, his rescue has been described as nothing short of a miracle. The man who pulled Grimes from the water said he was in such rough shape, he would not have lasted another few minutes. But the next morning as Grimes watched the sun rise stranded in the middle of the ocean, he wasn’t alone as the Lord was with him. “When I came to, regained consciousness, I …

Have a ‘Merry Winter Closure Period’

Maybe it is jut me, but our schools of higher learning seem to be getting dumber every day. According to an article in the Daily Mail, the University of Brighton, based in Brighton England, recently sent out a nine-page memo to its staff telling them what words they can and cannot use. It was referred to as an inclusive language document. Top of the list was their instruction not to say Christmas this season, because it is too ‘Christian-centric, instead, they were told to use the phrase ‘Winter closure period.’ So instead of saying Merry Christmas, the staff are apparently urged to say have a “Merry Winter Closure Period”. Brighton insists this is just guidance for its employees, as it hasn’t officially banned the word Christmas on its campuses Well, I have news for the University of Brighton, Christmas is a Christian celebration, and unless it’s also planning to change the name of Ramadam because it is too Muslim-centric, then this is just another example of anti-Christian bigotry and exclusion. A weird answer to prayer for Bukayo Saka?

Have you ever had a thought pop into your mind that you should pray for someone? I did recently, and it was kind of weird. My daughter and I were watching the World Cup soccer match in Qatar between Britain and France over the weekend. It was a quarter-final game, with the winner going on to the semifinals. France would win the game 2.-1. France was leading 1-0, and a British player was dribbling the ball down the right wing, when I felt the Holy Spirit impress me to pray for him, which I quickly did. At that point, I didn’t even know who the player was. I can’t remember exactly how I prayed, but it was something along the lines that God would help him, and bless him. After I uttered this brief prayer, the player continued down the right side and then turned sharply towards the goal and was fouled after he entered the penalty box, sending him tumbling to the ground. This led to a penalty kick, that was taken by another …

Judge allows court case to continue against a coach who allegedly benched player for not kneeling

A judge has ruled that a court case by Kiersten Hening against her former soccer coach, Charles Aidair, can continue. Hening played for Virginia Tech’s soccer team between 2018 – 2020. She alleges that she was benched by the coach and pushed to leave the team when she refused to participate in social justice activities being promoted by the coach, the New York Post reports. This included allegations she was verbally abused at halftime by the coach after she refused to kneel before a game in Sept 2020, an incident which allegedly led to significantly reduced playing time, resulting in Hening leaving the team. In a statement announcing that the court case could continue, Federal Judge Thomas Cullen wrote: “Hening, who had been a major on-field contributor for two years prior to the 2020 season, also asserts that Adair removed her from the starting lineup for the next two games and drastically reduced her playing time in those games because she had engaged in this protected First Amendment activity. As a result, Hening resigned from the …

EU to release new digital ID in 2023, critics call it a ‘Trojan horse’

The European Union (EU) is reportedly on track to release a digital ID for its citizens in the 27 countries that make up the EU, CBN reports. Concerns are already being expressed about the new ID, which will come in the form of an app downloaded onto a person’s phone, and could potentially contain a person’s medical and financial information. Some believe it will give governments and bureaucrats access to people’s personal information and others have described it as a ‘Trojan Horse’ that could easily open the door to government tyranny. While the EU insists the ID will be voluntary and people are free to download the information they want to the app, critics point to the COVID passport as evidence of how quickly that can change. A member of EU’s parliament, Cristian Terhes, who grew up under Hungarian communism had this to say about the new ID: “Clearly we are witnessing right now, the ‘Chinafication’ of Europe, because we see what is happening in China right now with the social credit score, where the …

Religious Wars: Could they happen to us?

Peace love and harmony; isn’t that what it’s all about? I mean religion. Isn’t it supposed to be a force for good? Do you know that people fight about religion? In history, we have had wars and forced conversions and crusades. Some of those religious wars lasted for centuries. But that was history, so we can just read about it in history books, right? We have a problem today; we think we know how the world works, and sometimes we just don’t. For example, religion is still something to fight about, and things could explode anytime. Really. People are still ready to fight about religion, and we should be ready. Here’s an example: This violence happened in the English city of Leicester, recently. The two religious groups that fought were Hindus and Muslims, and the police worked hard to keep things from getting much worse. Actually, there were three religions in this war. Hindus and Muslims fought, after India (mostly Hindu) and Pakistan (mostly Muslim) played in a cricket final. The third religion was a …

Safeguard also alleges that the CCP, using threats against families still in China, has sent 230,000 people back to the communist regime through these outpost police stations. The RCMP is currently investigating potentially illegal activities conducted by these police stations …

Hospital denies 14-year-old girl transplant because she’s unvaccinated

According to the family of Yulia Hicks, 14, Duke Children’s Hospital in Durham, North Carolina refused to add their daughter to its kidney transplant waiting list, because she was unvaccinated for COVID, the Daily Wire reports. Yulia, who is adopted from Ukraine, suffers from a genetic kidney disorder that requires daily dialysis. Her parents added that Yulia had already caught COVID, and would have gained natural immunity from that, but alleged that the hospital still refused, stating she needed to have the COVID vaccine. “Some studies have shown that natural immunity is superior to the COVID vaccine,” Mairead Elordi added in her article for the Daily Wire. “One recent study also suggested that the COVID vaccine could be to blame for certain organ transplant recipients rejecting their new organs.” READ: Duke Children’s Hospital Denied 14-Year-Old Girl Kidney Transplant Over Covid Vaccine, Family Says
