With 19 million followers on Twitch and 24 million followers on YouTube, Tyler Blevins is one of the largest video game streamers on both platforms.

Essentially it involves people playing video games, recording it, and posting it online allowing others to follow along. To attract a large following, these individuals typically have to be both exceptional players and entertaining commentators.

Blevins, 31, goes by user name Ninja and plays a variety of games.

In a recent interview on the Bible Alive YouTube Channel, Blevins opened up about his faith in Christ, CBN reports.

“Yes, dude, Jesus is King. I mean, and if — even if you don’t think He is — don’t judge me for it, and I won’t judge you for it, man. I do, I just feel it’s so crazy, man,” Blevins said.

This isn’t the first time, he expressed his faith.

In 2019, he shared how his mother, Cynthia, was pressured by doctors to abort him, because it was believed his doctors believed Tyler had “spina bifida or Down syndrome.”

She refused. The doctors were wrong.

“Nothing wrong with me,” Blevins said in an interview on a Live Action on his 28th birthday, Christian Post reports. “My mom is a saint and an angel and I love her to death.”

Daniel who was in captivity in Babylon spoke of how God “removes kings and sets up kings;” (Daniel 2:21 NIV). We understand that God is ultimately the one in control.

But Daniel also explains that God raises up people to serve as influencers in society. Though he was not a politician, but God gave Daniel “wisdom and might” (Daniel 2:23). Might in this verse refers to power and ability and this combination of wisdom and might allowed Daniel to influence the King of Babylon.

I believe that the Holy Spirit is raising up people in all areas impacting society, so they can be influencers or salt as Jesus described them in Matthew 5:13.

An elder in the church my wife and I attend also has a video game channel on YouTube, where he races cars. He has over 60,000 subscribers, who make comments like this, “I’m going to go out on a limb and say you might be a Real Racing 3 expert” and “Best race commentary on YouTube, best humorous content and informative content. Thanks for all the videos!!!” Simply, God is raising him up in a position of influence.
