New Beginnings Assembly of God church in Grayson, Kentucky is a small church that had an average Sunday morning attendance of 100 people about three months ago.

Then something strange happened in the church pastored by Kyle Burchett. During a morning service, a young woman rushed to the front of the church just before Burchett was to speak asking to be water baptized, AG News reports.

When Burchett suggested that they would be able to handle her request at the end of the service, the woman insisted that she needed to be baptized at that moment.

Burchett, thinking one baptism would not be too much of a disruption, agreed to it. But that request opened the floodgates as 30 more people decided they wanted to get baptized that morning.

Before baptizing each individual, Burchett made sure that all of them had received Christ.

However, this flood of baptisms that morning was simply an outward sign that the Holy Spirit was moving on the small-town congregation, which has since grown to 160 people.

“The Spirit of God is there as soon as you walk in the doors,” said Heather Miller in an interview with AG News. “You feel at home, you feel at peace, you feel like you can just walk up to the altar and give Him everything in your life. It’s this drawing in your stomach that He can forgive you for everything you ever did . . . I just can’t put it into words how awesome God’s presence is — it’s indescribable.”

Heather who had just recently rededicated her life to Christ is just one of dozens of people who have been impacted by the move of the Holy Spirit in the church.

Burchett reports that people are regularly being saved and filled with the Holy Spirit.

The church is even seeing people being delivered from evil spirits during their service as happened when a young woman showed up for a meeting.

“Suddenly, she threw herself down onto the floor and started banging her head on the concrete,” Kyle told AG News. “A demon was manifesting. I had one of the men put his hand under her head to keep her from hurting herself and we prayed over her, and the Holy Spirit cast that demon out.”

Burchett, who has been pastoring the church since 1995, stated that the move of God they have seen in recent months can be attributed to one thing, and that is prayer.

“It’s all about prayer,” Burchett said. “We are the same church, same congregation, same style of worship, same preacher, the only added element is focused prayer. When I quit trying to be the CEO and instead be a pastor, let the Holy Spirit be the Holy Spirit, and made prayer a priority, it’s literally become the most exciting time I’ve ever had in pastoring.”
