While governments are looking to further legalize the recreational use of Marijuana, a doctor out of Texas is pushing back against the prevailing narrative associated with this push that it is a safe drug, Faithwire reports.

In an interview with Fox News, Dr. Raymond Wiggins, a surgeon out of Texas, uttered some stark warnings about Marijuana usage.

He did this as the Biden government seeks to downgrade Marijuana from a Schedule I drug to Schedule III. There are concerns that such a reclassification would not only ease restrictions on its usage but also pave the way for the legalization of the supposedly safe drug nationwide.

Faithwire provides more details:

“‘Marijuana has so many physical and mental health issues,’ Wiggins said on the weekend edition of Fox News’ ‘Fox & Friends.’ ‘There’s increased anxiety, schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, suicide.’”

The physician said there was one recent study that found marijuana leads “to a two-and-a-half times risk of schizophrenia if we start using it before the age of 18.”

And Wiggins said those who use the drug 50 times or more before the age of 30 are at a six times higher risk of schizophrenia.”

In addition to the mental-health issues, Wiggins added that there are also physical risks associated with using marijuana including a 4.8 times increased risk of a heart attack within an hour of usage.

He also noted a study reporting a 63% increased risk of heart attacks for those between the ages of 18 to 44 who have smoked marijuana within the last month.

    Send me nothing.

RIDICULOS testing. Using your extremely limited “studies, ” most kids from the 60’s and ’70’s should be dead by now. WHO specifically did the studies you are quoting?
WHEN and WHERE were these done? WHAT activities did they participate in?
WHAT did they eat, which strains SPECIFICALLY were tested? WHAT background was common to ALL test subjects?
