It’s estimated that 70,000 people attended a rally in South Korea on Saturday, June 3, 2023, held by Evangelist Franklin Graham, son of famed evangelist Billy Graham, the Christian Post reports.
The Seoul World Cup Stadium which can seat 66,700 people was filled beyond capacity as Franklin Graham spoke at the event honoring the 50th anniversary of Billy Graham’s evangelistic crusade held in the country on June 3, 1973.
It is estimated that 1.1 million South Koreans attended the 1973 rally held in Yoido Plaza making it the largest evangelistic crusade ever held. Hundreds of thousands of South Koreans walked for miles to attend the rally.
Dr. Billy Kim, who translated for Billy Graham at the 1973 crusade along with South Korean churches invited Franklin Graham to speak at the anniversary rally.
According to reports, thousands of South Koreans made decisions for Christ at the Saturday event.
