You may have heard of the emergence of yet another plague, Monkey Pox, that seems to have started in Europe and is now spreading around the world.

Symptoms include headaches, fever, swollen lymph nodes, and fatigue. Blisters and lesions also start forming on the body that eventually scab over. It has a death rate of around 3% to 6% according to Newsweek, which is several times higher than COVID’s death rate of 1.2%. READ: How Deadly Is Monkeypox? Virus Fatality Rate Compared to COVID

However, Monkey Pox, which is similar to Chicken Pox, is much less contagious than COVID and requires close contact with another person for transmission to take place.

And it seems some are starting to treat it as an STD, a sexually transmitted disease.

Newser explains:

“What seems to be happening now is that it has got into the population as a sexual form, as a genital form, and is being spread, as are sexually transmitted infections, which has amplified its transmission around the world,” the WHO’s David Heymann tells Reuters.

About the Days of Noah connection

In Matthew 24, Jesus provided a breakdown of some of the signs that will show up leading to the second coming of Christ. This will include wars, increased lawlessness, earthquakes, famines, and plagues (Matthew 24:6-8).

But then in the midst of this, Jesus made this odd statement that it will be similar to the Days of Noah, when people were marrying and giving in marriage.

³⁷ As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. ³⁸ For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; (Matthew 24:37-38 NIV)

Similar to the Days of Noah, when the birth pangs start, people will be completely unaware of the events that are starting to unfold.

Perhaps this is just a coincidence, but I found it a bit ironic, that the major headline story on the front page of the Daily Mail on May 23, 2022, featured an article on the marriage of Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker. Then just below that was a story warning about the emergence of Monkey Pox.
