According to a study by researchers at Baylor University, regular praying improves the well-being of seniors, Study Finds reports.
In their study, researchers tracked 1,000 people 65 years and older. This included those who considered themselves Christians or former Christians, as well as people who identified with no particular faith.
The study found that the success of prayer was also dependent on their faith or attachment to God. The more attachment the individual had, particularly if they believed that God was loving, the more beneficial the prayer was to their well-being.
The researchers noted that the prayer was particularly effective in improving a senior’s well-being if they were struggling with health issues, loneliness, and financial stress
